Pipping!!!
My eggs are FINALLY pipping. Looks like the first one to take a peek is going to be a snow, like it's momma. :D I'll be keeping a close watch on them throughout the day and will post pics of the second one when it finally decides to break through. I'm so excited that I can hardly see straight! LOL!

Re: Pipping!!!
Well, the snow finally made it out of the egg. Only took all day. My other one hasn't pipped yet still. I got the snow into her little container with a little water cup. It's fiesty! :D Tried to bite me like crazy and rattled it's little tail in warning. It was SO adorable. Anyway, here it is. Not sure on sex, yet. Will check it when it has had time to rest. :)

Re: Pipping!!!
I'm so stoked right now. My hatchling Snow shed yesterday, so I figured I'd go ahead and offer the first meal tonight. At first, it wasn't interested and I thought to myself that I hope that doesn't mean it was going to be a problem feeder. I went ahead and brained the pink, then laid it against the inside corner of it's little sandwich container, closed the lid back up and left it alone for a couple of hours. When I went to check on it, it had eaten! :D I'm so excited....since this is the only egg that actually hatched from Apopha's first clutch.
I've been handling it regularly for about 10-15 minutes every day and it has stopped striking at me. Occasionally it will still rattle it's tail (which is the cutest thing ever!), but it quickly stops once I have it in my hand and allowing it to explore. So....with this victory, I can hardly wait for Apopha's second clutch to hatch. Late September/early October can't get here soon enough for me.
So, I'll let my new little Snow settle to its meal for a couple of days and then try to take another picture or two. When I manage that, I'll post it up. I was just so excited about it eating that I had to say something. lol!

Thanks so much everyone. :) Jason, I had not noticed it until you mentioned it. This little one is doing really great. I've popped it a couple of times and have yet to see hemipenes, so I am heavily leaning toward it being a female. The only question I have is this: Being this small, would I be able to see the hemipenes? I guess I might have to have my friend come over and help me figure it out. lol.
