Re: First morph you ever produce?
Spiders were also the first morphs I produced. I'm holding them all back since I have the room and four are female! :D

Re: First morph you ever produce?
Last year I had my first clutch. A normal (banded) female to a pastel male.
I ended up producing 2 banded pastels. Whether or not the banding is genetic, I have yet to proove out. However this was the females second clutch in life where she produced banded babies. Her third clutch is in the incubator and she was with a cinnamon so we will see if her banding affects these babies.
Here is my male banded pastel that I held back.

Shocked at how many spiders are first morphs.
-
Re: First morph you ever produce?
These were my first visuals. Second were caramels. Everything before that was just hets and possible hets.

Yet another reason why I'm holding back everyone. The price is so low its not worth it for me to sale them. Plus, they're so many on the market right now there's is no way a no name like me could sell them.

Re: First morph you ever produce?
This is from my 1st clutch ever. I went to check on day 55 and was going to cut if no one was pipping, but already had heads peaking out when I opened the egg box.
When I opened the egg box:

What I ended up with from that clutch, a killerbee, super pastel, some bumblebees, spiders and a normal:

Re: First morph you ever produce?
My first were a pair of albinos from breeding a het male to a 50% possible het female, I think this was in 2002. Those possible het females cost me more back then than what an albino sells for today.

Why shocked? They're super popular, have been around a relatively long time and are reasonably priced. I would have thought the only thing that would beat spiders would be pastels.

It is kind of funny. I've been breeding ball pythons for 10 years now and this year is the first time I've produced spiders. Wierd huh?

Haha, yeah something like that. I was never that impressed with the spiders but then the prices dropped far enough that I figured what the heck, I'll give it a try. I tried breeding my male last year but whiffed on all the clutches, but my first clutch to hatch this year were spiders and I'm enjoying them a lot.
I also produced sables for the first time this year and they're really pretty cool too even if a lot of people don't like them.

Re: First morph you ever produce?
Our first morph was a female pastel 50% het for Snake keeper line axanthic in 2007. The female laid 8 eggs, 4 hatched and 1 was a pastel. Delta later proved to be 100% het for Snake keeper line axanthic.

Re: First morph you ever produce?
my first were spiders and cinni's.
-
Re: First morph you ever produce?
Bumblebee and pastel.
We only owned a normal female at the time, who was bred a couple times to a bee. Not bad for a first clutch.

Dammmm... shows you how much prices can drop! :O
Oh, and I'll be able to answer the original question in a few days - eggs are now on day 52, and the dad was either a pastel or mojave. I'm betting on pastels, but won't know until they emerge! ;)

Re: First morph you ever produce?
My first morph produced was a pinstripe but unfortunately it died. the rest of the clutch are four normals. and I believe they are all girls. (I've popped twice but will check again). It can be seen here..http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...d.php?t=125205
