Your Most Adored Herp In All of Your Collection (Pic Friendly)
Most of us have/had some type of adored animal in our collection at some point or another, or still do. I thought this would be a fun little thread to show off the one animal in your collection that you adore most.
It can be anything, except mammals. Rodents are acceptable, if you have one favorite rodent out of all of your breeders and such. Inverts are included as well!
This is my first Ball python, and the one I love the most out of ANYTHING in my collection. I wouldn't ever dare to trade her for anything, not even a crazy morph. I love this thing to death, and even the though of anything happening to her would make me cry.

I'd love it if many of you would participate in this, I'd like to see pics of your adored herps:).

Zeus will always be my special boy, he's just that one special pet in my life,
even though he's just a normal male ball python I wouldn't trade him for the world

Oh yeah I definitely get what you guys mean. I will always love my girl and wouldn't give her to anyone even if I had to.
It's so crazy to see how fast they grow up, I remember the first day I got my girl too. She fit right in the palm of my hand:).
Love the pics guys, keep 'em coming!

I don't know if 3 counts as a collection, but even including all the other reptiles I've had over the years, this guy takes the cake.
This is Ramses, my first ball python and what I consider to by my first "real" snake. Even if one day, I have enough snakes to convert to tubs, this guy will always have a display in my bedroom. This pic was taken the night I got him btw. He's beefed up a lot since then.

Seems a lot of starting norms are showing up here, huh?
Another great shot of him:

He even got to be part of my improvised pirate costume.

Amazingly enough not a BP (even though they are very important to me) but a Honduran Milksnake because she is the snake that changed my husband views on snakes, she is his now his and he will actually open her tub and pick her up all my himself ;), and to me making someone go from "I don’t like snake" to claiming one as his is a pretty big deal and that makes her very special.

Deborah, very cool picture! It makes me so mad that I can never get good snake pictures :( Anyways, my favorite is Dudley, a bearded dragon (even though he's going through a major diva stage right now). He was my first reptile so he hit a very special place in my heart and everyone else in my household. When I got him he was the size of my palm and now he's just a big, lazy ham in a half.

My favorite herp is my Tarahumara boy. He's such a darling. I just wish I could find the poor guy a girlfriend. :(

My girl, Eve. Close second would be Rev. I like my ball, Wallie, but I have not been able to pin down his personality yet. I know when he's hungry, that's about it. Eve will hear me make some noise in the reptile room and she'll come out to see what's going on. That always brightens my day. The other day I was putting up another rack and she stuck her head out and cocked it sideways, if she could talk I'll bet she would have said "what the hell do you think you're doing?"

Re: Your Most Adored Herp In All of Your Collection (Pic Friendly)
I dont think this is a fair question. What if in 15 years when you have kids, some one came and asked you,"Which one of your kids is your most favorite?"
I really actually just cant decide.

Re: Your Most Adored Herp In All of Your Collection (Pic Friendly)
I love all of mine equally, so this is not the most adored. However, this is the one that I like keeping the most as far as handling, maintenance, etc. I definitely want to get more short-tails and bloods in the future thanks to this guy.

Re: Your Most Adored Herp In All of Your Collection (Pic Friendly)
Tango, my first snake. He isnt as fussy as I thought he would be after reading so much about Balls before I got him and how picky they can be, and going off feed and such. I moved him into a 40 breeder from a 75 yesterday and he ate today right on schedule with no probs, and as normal he went into his hide over the UTH when he was done eating.
He always wants to explore and climb on me when I take him out, he never balls up on me...I have yet to see him do that. Although he dont like other people around when I am holding him, anyone gets to close he will try and tag them, unless I let them touch him then he just sits there like he knows that I gave them permission to be touching him. He is my guard snake, lol, he is my buddy :)

Re: Your Most Adored Herp In All of Your Collection (Pic Friendly)
Actually in 15 years I probably would be able to pick a favorite child... HAHA jk... maybe.
My favorite herp in my collection would have to be Mr. Bubbles my Pine Isle Rhacodactylus chahoua

Re: Your Most Adored Herp In All of Your Collection (Pic Friendly)
I feel kinda bad choosing, since they're all my babies! :) But if I could only keep one snake, it would have to be Toby the pastel... and Charlotte the Western Hognose is a close second-place. I absolutely adore these two, and like you said, I wouldn't trade them for a $20K morph. :colbert:
Here's Toby

My siblings are perfectly aware that I'm my mother's favorite (although she never actually says it), and I don't think they have a problem with that. It's not that she loves them any less, she & I are just like two peas in a pod... we're very very similar, as much as I used to deny it. ;)

Yeah, I love each and every one of my pets, and couldn't bear to part with them... I thought about re-homing a few of the corn snakes, and felt bad just thinking about who to sell. :( Hopefully I won't get attached to my incubating eggs, as I don't really have room for 6 more BPs!

Great thread. It's nice to see everyone's faves.
Mine has only been here two years, as that's how old he is. He is our Ornate monitor, Haephus.

Here's my contribution ;)
Sayuri, a "dwarf" Philippine Island Retic. Circa 03/2010

This is how Sayuri and I first met ;)

PS: back in my old job, my boss smiled when he heard me explain why I used up a sick leave for rushing her to the vet to have this huge pus build up removed (it was on her gums; she was a HORRIBLE cage pusher)
