Just a curious question, how big is your snake, and how often do you feed him/her?

Hi,
You could actually see the feet and the tail clearly - not just hair?
How are your temps and was there anything unusual about this feeding or your snakes behaviour since?

If your husbandry is spot on, then take a fecal sample to the vet to check for parasites. I had this happen to me and I have seen it at work and thats usually what causes it and it's an easy fix.

sounds like a problem... Hair is one thing but un-digested flesh is a sign that something in your snakes digestion system is working right.. Might was to get a fecal float and smear done at your vets to rule out the easy treatments like internal parasites..
Are you sure it isn't regurgitation??? that sounds like a more plausible idea.

eww! ok so if that happens chances are there's something wrong? i dont have my bp yet but i'm trying to educate myself on them as much as i can before she comes home.

If you see something recognizably mouse like, it's not poop. It's regurgitation. Your snake threw up. Check your temps, make sure there is a spot in the cage on the floor where the snakes belly is where the temps are in the low 90's. One of the biggest causes for regurgitation are temps that are too low to allow for proper digestion.

yeah, i believe i read it somewhere that it can be caused by too cold temperature, but i'm not so sure, so i need the experts advice here... and dont freak out yet, seeing large dead rats is more gross than that fecal matter. :)

Hmmm... my temperature was a bit less than 80, its around 78ish on the hot side... i think i should change my bedding, the cypress mulch is not really doing pretty good with that heating thing

Re: my bp's poop was 1/4 mice??
Get the temps correct and measured with digital temp gun or thermometer.
Once you get that spot on youll know how and where to fix it.
DO NOT feed for 2 weeks to allow the stomach acids to rebuild up. If fed too soon youll only produce another regurge.
At 2 weeks from the regurgitation offer a fuzzy mouse. If it stays down great, in 14 days again offer a fuzzy mouse. If second meal stays down then in 7 days offer fuzzy mouse. TAKE IT SLOW WITH SMALL MEALS. Rushing it will only cause the snake to be prone to regurgitation's as it ages.

Theres your problem. Switch to paper towel and have the UTH set at 92 on thermostat or rheostat.
