Male Banana!
Well I hatched out seven clutches this weekend and through the haze of it all I got very lucky. I bred my Will Slough line male Banana to a 05 Pinstripe female and I got these three little gems. The one on the far left is a male. I couldn't be more happy with the outcome. I guess Will's line does produce males from males just not that often! Anyway back to work as I am busy!!
Thanks for looking.

I don't know if you can say how much you would sell them for, but in general how big is the price tag on one of those? They are amazing. Congratulations.

I'm curious about the background of the pinstripe female.
Those look great Brock, banana pinstripes look as good as I always thought they would. Congratulations.

Re: Male Banana!
I take it there is a Theory that male Bananas only produce females? Did the females mostly produce males?
I love the color difference ( mainly the purple) of the two normale Bananas

Re: Male Banana!
Holy snikeys that middle one is hot! I am not a big pin fan, but that combo may have changed my mind. Funny how certain combos just hit. I think I have always preferred how spider combines with most other genes compared to pin and woma, but pin and woma both combine better with banana IMO.

We have several reports that male coral glow or banana to a female that is normal for coral glow/banana will produce daughters that are all coral glow/banana and usually all normal sons except for this and one other instance where there is reported to be a single banana son. This is much unexpected because normally the female would be determining the gender of the babies in snakes (opposite of mammals). However, we have a report of 25 in a row all coral glow daughters of the original male coral glow and all normal looking sons.
The only reports on what coral glow/banana females produce is that the original banana females produced some banana females and that one coral glow female produced a coral glow male bred to an unrelated male.
We don't know what percentage of the daughters of a coral glow/banana female are coral glow/banana. Knowing if it's 50% or 100% of the daughters of a female coral glow/banana that are coral glow/banana would help a lot in sorting through theories as to why male coral glow/bananas are so rare.
We don't know how the at least one other captive bred male banana or any other males than the three mentioned above where produced. Maybe inbreeding makes it easier to produce coral glow/banana males but there is no confirmation if the normal for coral glow/banana males with a coral glow/banana parent have been bred. There is a report of some believed to be super coral glows but no info on how they where produced (presumably some sort of inbreeding) or what gender they are. I think they are just babies and haven't been bred yet to prove that they are supers (without knowing what female banana/coral glow normally produce hard to know how what to expect different from a super). Your note that the male banana is a bit of a different color than his banana (the not also pinstripe) sister is interesting. Wonder if that difference is similar to the difference between the suspected super banana's and regular bananas.
