Is a 1yr old Bumblebee male worth buying for $700?

If you like him and you want him - then he is.

O.O
It's blinding....
Idk what the prices on bumblebees are like, though. I think what OP is trying to ask, "It that price fair?" It does seem to be a very buyer driven market, though.
If I was out for Bumblebee, and had $1000, I think I'd get it. It's just stunning. And I don't even like them that much.

Exactly, and what I was saying is - it's fair if you like it and you're willing to pay what the seller is asking for it.
All anyone has to do is a little homework and go to Kingsnake to see what the current market average is for bee's. Then decide if you like the animal enough to pay what the seller is selling it for.

its sad to see how far the bp market is dipped down... a year ago 700 would have been a steal for a bee

Actually the bees available on Mike Wilbanks website are 2010 hatchlings not year old animals

Hence my comment about how it's such a buyer driven market. It's the buyers, like kiddomarc here, that decide what's a fair price.
Without knowing what the current market average is, and going by the looks alone of this particular snake, I would say it's worth it. But if I know there are very comparable snakes available everywhere else, and this one is asking several hundred dollars more, with no apparent benefit to that extra cost, then no, it is not a fair price. Not to the buyer, at least.

If he weighs 500 grams, and that's a recent picture, I would pay that for him.

Yes, and no. If kiddomarc decides that's not a fair price for that animal, there's likely to be another buyer who will think that it is.
Where the "problem" with the market is, is sellers panic and cut prices too quickly when an animal doesn't sell in a few days or a few weeks. If it's a nice animal, and the seller believes in the quality of their animal, and the price is a fair market value, if they don't compromise their price, there will be a discriminating buyer out there for that animal.

Agreed.... but then again what doesn't get bought goes to the flippers then the price gets cut a little and so on. I would pay more for a better snake, it just keeps the market where it needs to be. But I really dont see the point in a 20k snake.... just not justifiable to buy imo

Rest assured, what doesn't get purchased in my collection will not sold to flippers. They'll stay right where they are, get fat and sassy and more expensive the bigger they get.
Then when Joe Schmoe is looking for a breedable sized female of XYZ morph, and the supply is slim, but the demand is high - he'll pay my asking price (which will be more than it was when she was a hatchling).
