    First Snake (BP)!
Just picked up a normal female baby ball python from Ben Siegel's Reptiles! Very nice and helpful staff they have there! The snakes there are all beautiful! Hard to just pick up 1!

I've been putting off getting the snake for a week after having the cage set up as I was having issues with the ambient temperatures, but I finally got it all straightened out!

Snapped 1 picture from my phone before I put her in the cage:

It'll be hard to let her settle in for a week, but i'll post more pictures later! :snake:

Allow me to echo the sentiment, welcome to the addiction! lol

as I've heard it said, "they're like pringles, you can't have just one!"

I'd be willing to bet you'll have another one....or two, within a year! lol

Thanks! ... Yeah addiction is something to call it! I was already looking at more before I even bought this one.... hah! All in good time, no need to rush!

She already knocked down all of the plants in her cage, guess she was roaming around while I was at work! She loves her hides though!

Where she's been pretty much all day (that i've noticed) since i've been home. It normal for them to spend a lot of their time in the warm side?

Some spend a lot of time on the warm side some spend more time on the cool side. All depends on the particular animal. Furio divides his time about even. He'll spend about 3 days on the hot side after eating then go back to the cool side for the rest of the week until the next feeding day. Lily on the other hand splits it up about 50/50 and could care less about her hides. They're just fun toys for her to climb on lol

This is common. They will pick a spot that suits their needs and stay there until somewhere else is more comfortable.

    Congrats!

Thanks! That's good to know. Im assuming she hasn't been in there all day as her plants are all knocked over and off the walls. She was also roaming late last night!

Also normal. Sounds like the snake is starting to become very comfortable in it's new home.
