Python hunters
WAS AMAZING
SO glad it was 100% fact based.
my favorite part was when they stuffed the statistic of how many dogs kill people compared to pythons! god great stuff. i hope people watch this show!

Re: Python hunters

I just got finished watching it and it's pro herp to the heart. I hope it's a on going series because I enjoyed that.

Re: Python hunters
The only thing that got me was that they still showed a lot of ball pythons while talking about the burmese. I'm surprised Michael and Greg allowed them to do that. Maybe I was wrong but I swore I saw the panda pied in there...:rolleye2:

Re: Python hunters
well they also talked about the one guy being a ball python breeder. i think they were showin BP's when they were refering to snakes in general, and the only pied i saw was a regular pied. but who knows! wonderful show!

Re: Python hunters
Graziani is a ball python breeder...kind of like Obama is a politician. ;)
I loved seeing the footage of some of their fantastic animals.

Re: Python hunters
Oh gosh it was great to see...
#1 A program based on facts, and they DISCUSSED the facts and why the facts are supported by evidence.
#2 A entertaining program with snakes, without the normal "OMG they'll all kill you!!!" mentality OR the 'girly squealing in terror' stupidity.
#3 Micheal Cole on tv(way to go Micheal!! You were #2 of my reptile gurus, and I still own balls I've purchased from you and also from Neil!).
#4 Seeing native snakes, and discussing that the baby pythons could be feeding a multitude of native wildlife, and that there IS natural predation.
#5 Micheal Cole on tv(did I mention that? I'm just so pleased to see a down-to-earth herper that I KNOW is a great guy shown on tv)
#6 No theatrics, no fade-to-B&W shots of giant jaws of death. I was a little annoyed to see a lot of shots of snakes shown right before and after shots of the dogs in the fence, as if they filmed a wild giant burm coming up to the housing.
#7 All 3 guys were obviously enjoying their work, without leaping around and waving their arms in the air in a silly way the way some "tv personalities" are wont to do. They were the average herper enjoying "field herping".
Even with the final editting trying to be a little over-the-top in bits, the whole program was so pleasing. I'll be looking up the NatGeo addresses to send not only praising emails, but also physical letters of thanks and praise for the awesome fact-based programming as opposed to other channels that only make sensationlized tabloid tv.

I know we laughed when we saw that. Greg looked like he was gonna knock him out. The pen that Greg was using through out the show is the one my grandpa gave him.

Quite certain they'll play it again, and they're already running promo's for next Monday's episode.

Re: Python hunters
I didn't even know I had access to it until last night. I went to their website (Nat Geo Wild) and typed in my zip code. They told me it was available in my area and that they wanted my name address and provider to send them a request for it. When I got home from work last night I checked around the channels and found that I did have it. I don't know if I had Nat Geo Wild before and I had just missed it, or if they added it for me since I requested it. I did miss the first 10-15 minutes or so, however I understand you can already download it from iTunes.

Re: Python hunters
I think the channel is fairly new. They've been running promos about a new channel "just for animals" because animals are so cool "promotion" in commercials and such.
This is also the same channel that ran Python Wars, which seemed inclined to say the pythons were going to spread throughout the universe and colonize the moon and cause tidal waves.... okay okay.. I'm exagerating, but you get the idea.
Maybe they've changed their views and will start showing more responsible shows.

Go there to find a "contact us" button and tell NatGeo you love the show and you want more of that programming rather than the tabloid style misinformation!

OR, it's only $1.99 on iTunes, cheaper then a cup of coffee at Starbucks. I just downloaded it today myself.
