The biggest urate evah!!! ( um yeah gross pics inside )

So I went to spot check the snakes and saw this in Sal's tank. :O

It was so big I wondered if it was a retained egg - so I broke it open to check for structure;

She was of course sitting in the middle of all this devastation in a lake of her own making - I can only assume by choice as she could easily have climbed on top of the hidebox.

In pride or shock - I may never know.

Sal was about 2600g before she laid her clutch earlier this year - I haven't weighed her in a while since though.

She is eating like a champ mind you so got two rats for the past couple of weeks as I had a few refusals.

Main reason I switched to cypress mulch!

I remember coming home and my room stinking because one of them were laying in a pool of urates...This is one of the big reasons that I find using aspen or cypress mulch to be so effective.

Seriously I can't even begin to imagine that coming out of a snake (short of the Anaconda that attacked Ice Cube and Jennifer Lopez :))...our guys (BP) urates are only about the size of a lima bean.

Mine go right after they are fed, somehow their feeding and pooping schedules perfectly overlap. So I clean my tubs the day after I feed, haha.

And that urate is big enough to have it's own urate.
