Re: Lesser Het-Clowns with a twist,
I wonder if the het clown "look" is just really strong with this one, :sabduel: but considering they are all het clowns, who knows.

Very sweet lesser!! I guess time will tell.

Re: Lesser Het-Clowns with a twist,
Mom looks crazy light. Maybe he got it from her, and the dad's genes darkened the others. Either way, I would keep her and breed her back to dad to see what happens :) Could get some crazy results.

Congrats on some great odds too!

Re: Lesser Het-Clowns with a twist,
clowns are somewhat differnt colored than normal (colored and patterned).

in burmese pythons, when u breed a normal to a granite, the offspring looks normal with a twist- something like granite in a poor version.

maybe the clown gene did that somehow to the one lesser (i think it is a lesser).

or it is just a really stunning lesser (like the ones from rdr in his video)- i think they could have looked like yours as babies...

Re: Lesser Het-Clowns with a twist,
Looks like a very light lesser to me too, but what's mind bogglin about it is its comparison to its siblings. Maybe breeding it w/ its clutchmates or even the parents will answer the mystery.

Oh a genetic level this is actually sound. A gene could easily mutate early and take a new form, perhaps causing it to be partially read instead of not read (since it's recessive).

Alternatively it could just be a fluke. Once again I think you got yourself a dinker to work with.

Nice clutch, and great pairing. Those adults are two of the nicest examples of thier morphs I have seen. I wish my clutches had already hatched so I would have the capital to pry one of those males away from you.
