Re: Reptropolis is done!!! DUW
Those are very nice!!! Is the entire front the door, dropping down to open?
Re: Reptropolis is done!!! DUW
Looks awesome! I've been anxiously awaiting pics of the final product, especially with how different your layout was (is). I must say it turned out great! Bet it feels good to have it finished though haha.
Re: Reptropolis is done!!! DUW
Yes the whole front drops down for easy access to the whole cage..
Ahhh it feels great to have it done.. Yea I'm not too big on the "normal" style of things lol... with the setup how it is we can have all our reptiles on that wall, except for our dragon he is in a 55gal.. I just have to put out spotted gecko on the very top on the unit.
Thank you for lookin. so glad its done and in place
Cheers

Re: Reptropolis is done!!! DUW
Look great. Only thing i would alter for the big BP on top is remove the cool side hide. Being as big as she is 2 hides arent needed in there at all.
Re: Reptropolis is done!!! DUW
Holy cow, that's sharp!! I'm impressed! I'd love to have a display like that someday!
Re: Reptropolis is done!!! DUW
Thats insanely demented :D BTW whats the weight of the bp on top?
Re: Reptropolis is done!!! DUW
I'm not sure which I like more, the set-up or that sweet battle axe... :gj:
Re: Reptropolis is done!!! DUW
thank you all..:D so glad its done. i know i keep sayin it but i am glad lol..
Djinn is about 6lbs last weigh-in.
LOL yea the battle ax is fun too hahahaha.
Cheers

thanks.... its not??? Djinn goes into both of them.. so the bigger the bp only one hide is needed?
Re: Reptropolis is done!!! DUW
OK, so now its really done.. I had to move Jaffy into a new tank. Which is now sitting atop the entire unit. Had to reset the timers as you can see it's still broad daylight out haha... Damn it feels good to be done with it... Now the question is what do I do when I add more??? LOL.

Cause my Herps are badass! LOL
It was in the corner of the old set up, so it seemed fitting to put it there.

Re: Reptropolis is done!!! DUW
Looks super awesome! :gj:
You've made me rethink the design I'm working on. I totally dig the modern modular look you've got going.
How did you attach the risers and the cages together? Or are they just attached to the wall?
Re: Reptropolis is done!!! DUW
Looks real nice. I'm moving to a new place in the next month or two hopefully, so i guess i'll have to build a new one for my snakes to fit the furniture lol

thank you.. I tried to screw them to the bottom, but the angle messed me up. and yes the cages are screwed to the wall. the risers are kinda floating there.

I actually started my build last night. So look for my step by step soon-ish. I'm using repurposed glass so it's so "fun" figuring dimensions.
Anyway I decided to attach my "risers" as legs to the base of my cages from the inside before I do my sealing and painting. Then all I have to do is set screws up though the roof of the cage below to attach them together...just a thought if you every decide to move you cages.
Once again just awesome. Seeing your cages gave me some great ideas.
