i know one person on here was trying it out and i tihnk it burned his snake. i wouldnt trust it for anytihng

I've been using it for some time. I ordered it and I believe I was the first in BP.net to do so. Since then, I believe at least 2 others are now using them. No one has reported any problems while using this thermostat.

Amazon.com also sells this thermostat. They range form $27 to $32 depending on their supply.

ive been using one for two weeks .for one uth. its working very well so far ..and reporting no problems as of yet..:rolleye2:

Its like saying "one person tried fishing and I think he didn't catch anything, I wouldn't go fishing"

Yeah, I would need more information than "I think someone said something about it".

However, the review on the site that was just linked is NOT encouraging, and based on THAT, I think I would give this thermostat a miss. Unless I started hearing a lot of good things, that is.

I've been using this thermostat and it's been working well for me so far.

You never know the whole scenario on why or how a product performed poorly. All you hear is "Cooked my whole collection". You never know how everything was connected, what was connected to it, or anything of the sort.

The best thing to do is try it out for yourself, it's cheap enough.

Just think it through and put some back-up protection to please the "just in case" part of it.

check all of your nursuries (flowerplace) all of them around me sale em for like 40 bux and i have heard nothing but good about them.:gj:

It got mixed reviews, but I'm not using it to heat up some plants.

There are several things we use for keeping reptiles that weren't designed for it. For example, Rubbermaid and Sterilite tubs, the Ranco and Johnson thermostats were designed for commercial heating and refridgeration units, the Acu-Rite thermometer that alot of us love, is a indoor/outdoor thermometer for a house, but hey, if it helps keep my husbandry where it needs to be, then I'm good with it...
