The world lost a great man today...

Today my Father lost his battle with cancer. I was really close to him and I'm not 100% what I'm going to do with out him. He had cancer in his bones and brain and went down hill so quickly! I knew it was coming but it dosent make it any harder to come to terms with things.I'm just so heart broken by this loss and wanted a little moral support.Thanks for listening

i am very sorry your ur loss, i cant imagine what u r going thru. my grandmother died of cancer when i was younger, but one thing that stuck with me is that she is not in pain anymore and is back with my grandfather.

im really sorry for your loss, my grandmother passed away from cancer 8 years ago but I am sure that he is happier not being in pain

im sorry man that hits home for me too.. ive had to say goodbye to my father so many times because it was that slim that hed make it. right now hes in the hospital because of a stroke. and i completely relate to the cancer thing. my older brother is terminal and has decided to not recieve treatment anymore.

I'm sorry. My grandpa died of cancer. He was diagnosed in February and by Apirl he was gone. I was really close to him as well. That was quite some time ago, but everytime I see a picture of him I still tear up. I know that he is in a better place, and hopefully enjoying seeing his grandpa again.

That is the one thing that makes me feel better. I know he also lost a grandpa and now he is finally getting to share stories with him :) You are in my thoughts.

I am sorry for your loss. I know it doesn't help to hear anyone else's stories, because no matter how similar, nobody can truly relate to exactly what you are going through. So all in all just remember that both you and your family are in many peoples thoughts and prayers and in time, all wounds heal.

I am so sorry for your loss. Many of my family members have cancer now and I know it is only a matter of time :( I will miss them all when they are gone.

So I had a rough day yesterday and had alot of trouble coming to terms with things.After the funeral home came and got his body we went down to his favorite Bar and had some drinks I found myself amazed by the amout of people whos life he touched.It was touching and kind of hilarious I spent most of my night comforting people when it was father who died.I'm just glad I have support of my friends and familiy as well as my fellow forum members.

Since its Fathers day I would like to just post a few pics so you can see the man I care so deeply about.

So sorry to hear this matt. Nothing equals the loss of a parent.

When I lost my dad it felt like someone punched a hole through my chest and then said "ok, now breathe"... it does get easier, but it never goes away.
