If I had a million dollars I'd buy....

I thought it would be fun to pretend a little bit and have a little fun...

So, I want to know everyones dream in terms of breeding and what their ideal project could/would be if they had a nice chunk of money to invest in whatever you wanted (only bp's of course in this example).

So, pretend you just won 100,000 dollars on a lottery ticket, and thats after taxes lol. What morphs would you invest in and why?

A Panda pied, some champagnes, and a few corals. I think that covers 100K pretty well.

Or just go over to Africa and see what I can find. Now that would be fun!

I'd like to see is all the "clean up" morphs in one snake, super pastel, super vanilla, fire, super enchi, congo. i know theres a few more clean up morphs out there, but id be happy with that lol.

Id also like to see a moonglow ball python which i guess the best you could do with ball pythons morphs would be hypo x albino x axanthic, even tho boas are hypo x albino x anery.

I also love the silver surfer, which i think is a Lesser, hypo, super pastel, black pastel prob the most expensive morph I know of. and it looks amazing.

The panda pied is amazing!!! Isn't it crazy that you could spend 100k on just a few animals if you wanted to lol

I personally think I would buy A LOT though. I think I would get super pastels, fires, some BEL's, calicos, butters, lessers, enchi's, piebalds, clowns, axthantic, yellowbellies, Ghosts, Albinos, Pastel het pieds, and just some sweet combo's as well. I think it would be soo cool to have all kinds of ball's sitting around my house to look at and handle lol. Such a hater on all you big breeders with lots of morphs. Has anyone noticed BP's are like pok'emon? GOTTA CATCH EM ALL BALL PYTHONS!!! :D

I would be investing in a few bananas, ultramels, specials, phantoms, and mystics. I would prefer to produce my own amazing combos instead of buying them. The ingredients to panda pied are way cheaper than the snake itself, so not very wise to buy one, IMO.

I would also love to get some stock from Ralph Davis from the "Platty Daddy" lineage and experiment with that line. :bow:

I feel stupid asking, but what is a special?

I believe the "special" refers to a gene that basically cleans up many morphs and makes some amazing looking combos. :)

Oh yeah! I forgot about the banana's. I guess I could switch the panda for a banana, since I already have a black pastel. I'm a 1/4 of the way there. Or, maybe an 1/8? It's just going to take awhile to actually get a panda pied. I just want one to look at until I produce my own :(

a pair of lavender albinos
a pair of het candies
a pair of champagnes

I get a bel( ok a pair) that or het for other things. a super that het a killer bee that het, and so forth until the funds are gone. I could only do that after I built a proper place to house them all safely ,and properly. I have always figured to be prepared more than anything for housing more snakes ( thats why I limit my numbers like I due right now.

We have a agreement between mom my brother( adopted he's more family than my sister is so mom refers to him as an adopted sone). It simple stated we wend we purchasing x arceas, placing x houses on it, and i get a alrger pole building desinged for my reptiles. Then proper cages(rack systems) and a proper rodent room.all away from (them) and ifi need help to maintain it I was to higher someone.( which I doubt I need lol) but I would most likey need a person to run a forklift/ dolly carts since i have aspen, Pine( rodent) shaving delivered in bulk bags. and large rodent food hopper. I also have he said building sprinkler, and each rack has it own circuit breaker then I can just check and see if i blown a breaker every morning( and have an ideal of which rack right off the back and not spend half the day guessing. ) then again a series of small lights otop the cages would help with that too. lol.

$100,000 is a far cry from 1,000,000, though...lol

First I would get a house to keep them all in! We're house hunting later this year, but that sure would help. Not to mention the expense of converting the basement to withstand 60% humidity at all times, just to help with husbandry.

I would want to pick up some ultramel combos, spectors, Platinum, and coral glow. And of course a bunch of morph females and equipment.

With one million dollars I would buy a leather easy chair, and a 48" T.V. and retire.:D

I would invest in ultramels, caramel morphs, anxathic morphs. :)

A pair of VPI Axanthic's, a couple of Ultramels, a lesser or two, an Axanthic spider, a bumblebee, a pair of clowns, at least three pied girls to speed up my combo making and a heavy paradox BEL strictly for show.

I'd buy a nice house on a good amount of land to build a big facility in the back for the hobby/ business. Bp's I'd buy some lavender's, a champagne and a super phantom all the other stuff I want I'l produce on my own.

Makes this little fantasy bp's lottery game seem kinda worthless in comparison. How did they get so large?!? And my biggest question of all, how do they afford to feed their animals? Like BHB for example. 10,000 aniamls!! He must be making some crazy amount of money to be feeding 10,000 animals every week. I don't see the point in owning that many animals personally, and I think that takes the fun out of being a breeder. The fun is working with each individual and working towards those special results. I can't see it being too much fun taking care of 10,000+ animals. Or maybe it is, what do I know. I do know this though, 11 snakes, and 12 eggs waiting to hatch is good for me right now lol
