If they put BP's on the list im just gonna give up on FL and move, or keep them illegaly. Im tired of stupid stuff like this, and dumb people that buy burms and retics etc and they get to big or they just dont want em so they let them go. Thats why every one of my snakes is a rescue i take in unwanted reptiles, in the last month i have received 4 BP's 2 juvies and 2 adults.

    5000 Grams....thats one healthy BP !

Mine is a nice 4 footer, but I dont have photos of him stretched out wich I have been wanting to get so I will try and get a couple new pics today.

This is the best I have but by the time I got my camera out he started to go under the bark. But notice his tail is about 6 inches from the end of the tank, and the board shown under the tank is right in the middle...and that is a 75 gallonn tank, 48Lx18Dx21H. He was only being fed once a month before I got him so he will fatten up soon if I can get him to change his feeding times to every 10 days or so. I may have to slowly change his feeding time from 4 weeks to 3 weeks, to 2 weeks, until I get him on track, he hasnt shown any interest in eating yet but I will keep working with him.

My big girl is about 52" and 2000 grams. This will be her first breeding season. I'm so excited! I'm hoping for a whole pile of eggs, but even one healthy, plump hatchling will be so worth it. :) I'll have to try and get some updated pics of her. She's such a big baby.

I forgot I cant edit a post after so long...was just going to swap out pics. But anyway, he wouldnt stay stretched out for the camera but I was able to check him and he is just under 49 inches.

Hey, here's a pic of my biggest girl. She's not the biggest snake out there but this is a fairly good scale pic. The box she's in is 4 feet long and 18 inches wide. Lol, don't mind my feet. This snake weighs about 2400-2500g and is still growing, albeit slowly.

If you want any other pictures for scale, just say the word.

WOW, she is a big girl...pretty too!
Are the females naturaly larger than the males ? 6 feet is a monster BP! I hope mine grows a little more, but he is already 3 years old.

Usually. I've seen some big males too, but usually the females are bigger. They have to have room for eggs :)

    Re: Biggest BP's
And they have to have enough energy reserves for producing and incubating the eggs without eating all through breeding season. At least in nature. People usually take care of the second part for them and get them back on feed quickly.

Thank you :) I have a couple of large females but most are around 1800 grams, I have a large male as well. Females tend to grow larger than males in most species of snake :)

Hey! Yep, quite sure. :) I just got finished building that box a couple days ago...it's actually a rabbit hutch thing that I flipped onto its side to use as a convenient white background to photograph my snakes before I put it out for the rabbit to use. It might actually be a bit wider than 18 inches, because those 2x2 posts were measured to 18 inches, so...yeah. It's roundabout 18 inches, probably a little bigger.

Here is my big boy Randal... He's in shed obviously but I decided to snap a few shots anyway. I got him in 2000 as a baby from a pet store so he's about 10 years old now. My first Ball Python actually :D I don't have a weight on him but as you can see he's huge. He is over 60 inches.

My biggest BP is Mona, who probably weighs about 2400g now (?), and is right around 5ft long... not all that impressive compared to some on here, but she's still a good-sized gal. She laid 7 eggs over the summer (6 hatched, 1 infertile), which wasn't bad for her first clutch! :)

Here she is (on the left), with the slightly smaller Nerissa in a 41qt tub... just did this photo for a color comparison, they don't live together. ;) She's probably closer to 2000g here, since she's still regaining her egg-weight.
    http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...4/P1040387.jpg

And when she was gravid - not sure of her weight here.
