Animal Planet Show...

Killer Aliens is on right now (central time).

Another overly dramatic "reality" tv show about killer snakes in the everglades.

I wont watch those. Even if it means i dont know what they are all about. I know just from the commercials they are complete junk, so im not going to give AP and ratings towards a show like that. I now selectively watch shows on AP instead of completely boycotting it. Maybe they'll get the picture. Or maybe they'll find certain shows are making them more money and stop showing the junk.

One show i hate is the show about wild animals going "crazy" on humans. Such as a bull tearing into a man putting himself in the way. I cannot stand bull fighting. And then I was watching this show about a year ago and saw a guy making a huge deal about a 3-4 foot BCI tagging him. He was hand feeding and accidentaly put his hand in front of the snake. He made it seem like he almost lost an arm!

I know, these types of shows are garbage. They are so forced, the drama of something being "deadly" or "life threatening" is so exaggerated. Then they have the narrator sound like they are showing images of a war or something.

Im watching it.....so stupid....talking about them "consuming a kid". And when one of them was wrestling the python "treadmilling"...really? The snake looked far from "killer". The flash backs...they prob use an actor snake. I thought Animal Planet was supposed to be FOR the Animals...but now its just another that is no where near reality.

I used to be Animal Planets biggest supporter but after they started doing that garbage and animal cops all day I got turned off of the station.Then the HSUS commercials started and now I won't even let my GF watch it.I don't know if anyone watches it but National Geographic Wild is what Animal planet used to be.If you liked the old AP then you will love Nat Geo wild!

Only TV I watch anymore is old re-runs and sit-coms. because everything else is trash. I remember back in the day when MTV was actual MUSIC Television. and when AP was nothing but educational. hell even Discovery and History channel are going to trash now. Swamp Loggers? Deadliest Catch? bah.. w/e

I want to see lions chasing down prey, not dog reality shows.
I want to see snakes eating prey, not dogs being groomed.
I want to see grizzlys catching fish, not something about abusive animal owners.

They should rename AP the pet network and bring back the old AP....
It all went down hill when Steve Irwin died....

Me and my dad say that all the time

We will be channel surfing, see discovery channel.. Deadliest Catch.. we start laughing so hard

"SWAMP LOGGERS. AH MAH GAWDZ super hard job, deadly... logs... they'll get ya!"

I just picture myself talking to the guy who runs these channels and just saying to him: "Okay buddy, its crap TV get it off the air nobody wants to see it" lol. The only really good shows they have now is Mythbusters (because they blow stuff up) and Mayday. Thats about it...

National geographic however is still going strong :gj:

Nat Geo is def still pretty legit. but.. I cannot STAND Brady Barr. He may have an education, but he seriously is an idiot. and gives other herpetologists a bad name imo. and makes Nat Geo look bad. I remember watching him dress underneath a croc suit that he made... so the crocs wouldnt see him..... lmfao... and what really made me not like him is one show was about crocs invading peoples back yards because they had river side housing... Brady Barr and his crew were literally throwing rocks and beating these crocs with huge wooden poles. He said this was the only way to get them away and make them stay away... I would take a venture to say that this kind of experience for the croc would be remembered. and the next time a human is seen , the chance of actual attacks would be greater..

I miss Steve Irwin! He was the only true animal lover on tv that relayed his enthusiasm and love of the animals he encountered/worked with to the world. These guys on tv now are just trying to look like bad a**es but are coming of as idiots.

Have you seen the one where the python bites Brady Barr when he tried to catch it in the water? I couldn't stop laughing the first time I saw it.
