Always glad to see the next generation of shooters. However, I think his position on the scope needs a little improvement. I've got a friend that has a nice cresent moon scare due to this same issue.

Keep them shooting, and remember, "aim small, miss small".

You need to get him a hat with a little white feather in it.

Is that a reference to Carlos Hathcock Sr.? That was a great man, solder and patriot. It was sad to see him go the way he went. He was a true American. :salute:

It was certainly a reference to Carlos Hathcock, likely the best sniper ever.

    :salute: to Carlos Hathcock.

The reason he is so far up on the rifle is because he needed his shoulder to keep the buttstock on the ground. I dont have a bipod yet and he was having trouble keeping the barrel up.

Carlos has a son that followed him into the USMC. He too is a fine example of a patriot. I have a letter he wrote to me on behalf of his father. Dad was just not strong enough to write any longer. Both men taught me a lot, dad was an amzing man, one that will not be forgotten for some time.

It was even more sad that the Corp ended up treating him the way they did.

I still can't believe that after his record and his service, the couldn't keep him an additional 55 days so he could make his 20 years. Disgraceful.

That was cruel, but until his last day on earth, he loved the Corp. When his son called me to tell me of his passing, I cried. There are certain people that leave you with something, a part of them I guess. Carlos was a great simple man. I am a better person for knowing him. I can only imagine what his close friends must have felt after his death.

What cute photos! I love it! :P

If he's into revolvers at all you should introduce him to Bob Munden. He could become a sharp shooter in no time I bet :D
