I've allways been under the impression that snakes swallow all kinds of stuff in the wild. I try to avoid it as much as possible but im not worried about it when it happens...

Mine has eaten cyprus on occasion with no troubles so not to worry!

That's why you use Aspen and not the pine shavings :). For when it is accidentally ingested.
