Thanks to Shannon Moylan from Rogue Tattoo in Fitchburg,MA for drawing this for us.

I like it but can you try the state in a different color?? Maybe blue and then change the bee's eyes to blue??? Maybe it will pop a little bit more. ?? Just a suggestion. I love the idea of the snake around the state thing.

The reason it's in the colors that it is is because of the whole color theme in our website, but you could be right. I'll try the color change and see how it looks :gj:

I say change the color of Mass. but leave the eyes or make them green like they should be Blue eyes on a Bee would look weird. The design is killer though congrats.

Have to say I really love it. I agree on the color change but other than that it's great.

I absolutely love the design, but if you are going to change the color, I would go with green to make it more realistic. Fantastic design, they did a great job.

Changing the color is going to be harder than i thought :( basically she now has to re do the whole thing because of the fact that it was hand drawn. Tried GIMP (kinda like Photoshop) but too many colors bleed into one another so just making the state blue or green or whatever color i want is virtually impossible. Anyone here have experience in graphic design that could lend a hand?

I am super good at paint, I may be able to help. Do you want the whole state to change color or just the fade spot? Also, what color would you like?

Thank you. Try the whole state in blue like it was suggested above. I'd love to see what you can come up with. I will be ordering shirts, hoodies and other stuff with this logo on it so i want to make sure it looks as good as possible.

very nice! but i have to agree with some people. change the color of the stae r outline it or something to make it stand out cuz it took me a few seconds to notice what it was. very nice tho :)

I would try leaving the MA in capitols and make the rest small letters....might look lame, might look good.

That's actually the way it's supposed to be (notice my user name here) but that font makes everything caps and i really like that particular font

Alright, here is the state in blue. (I had to re size it to get the small details, that is why it is a little blurry.)

Stick with the black, too many colors makes it look busy. Get the name like your screen name, with the lower case letters, and you have a winner.

You did a great job! But, I must say, I think with Massachusettes being black and the Bee's eyes being blue or green would look the best. But then again, that's my opinion. I guess it's up to MAballs or you ;) Either way, you did an awesome job!

Have you tried Bradley Hand ITC? It looks basically the same as the font that you are already using, but Bradley Hand ITC has lower case and upper case letters so you have the option of doing "MA" in capital letters, and "balls" in lower case.

Thanx to the power of the interweb i now have a pro graphic designer looking into making it look more professional. Once he is done i will post his work next to the original and we will all vote on a poll to see which is better.

You're not going to hurt my feelings if you don't like them, I just like to do this type of stuff. Hope you enjoy seeing a bit of difference.

I voted don't like based on one thing.....it's not digitized!
Love the design and feel but I think if this was drawn in Illustrator or Photoshop it would not only look better but be easier to reproduce on business cards, invoices, banners for shows and much more. It’s great so my vote should have been like, I’m just being picky.

gotcha, already working on digitizing it. i'm not a huge fan of the "hand drawn" look either. make sure u vote again when i post the new designs

I didn't use a font, I used what you had, and outlined it to do the color. I could erase the letters if you want though.

Just a question, why didn't you go with a real snake ?? Ideally one you have in your collection that you really like.

I'm definitely not a graphics guy but it seems you should be able to get a graphic of the state and then lay the snake over top of state.

The yellow wash makes the text in that area difficult to see. The concept is really great, and it could look fantastic.

I have to say, though, I think you should actually shell out to have a real commercial artist do the finished piece--it's 100% obvious that this is hand-drawn art, and as such, it's not going to be as versatile in the long run. Do you want a piece you can eventually put on a big sign? On a t-shirt? If so, hand-drawn is probably not going to work.

oohhhh hold up....I like the darker of the greens for the state(the one kaorte did) but put it on a black card and then do the lettering in the darkest green and have a black shadow. ....can someone show what that might look like.

I really like Jesus stalkers first design. Few things need to be changed imo though. THe Lettering of MAballs.net should be black and should say MAballs not MAcalls. Also the eyes of the bee should be changed to a lighter green, because realistically the bees eyes aren't that dark green.:gj:

I like this one on a black card....besides black business cards (though a little more expensive) are way easier to find amongst all your business cards and they pop. (IMO) Plus I think that would look cool on a tshirt...black or white. I want one in white K?? :-)

myself I like the green on green.

I did check out your site and seen you are using the the black with white background at the moment on it.

IMO it is a little small there, thinking maybe you need to go a little bigger and maybe in GIF format (no white background) to make it POP a little more.

Overall looks great though:)
