Starscream...
My '09 DJJ male "Starscream" shed out the other day. He was looking mighty good, so I took him outside to shoot a video for a buddy. I snapped some stills as well, I had no intentions of posting them, cause well..theyre not "nice photos" Just crappy ones on the porch with natural light lol!
But I figured, what the hell? I never claimed to know what I was doing with a camera anyways! LOL

These ones didnt really make the cut, but whatever LOL
Screwed up lighting coming through the tree on this one, some spots get way too much light, some spots are shadowed...love the pattern

The sun lit up the shaded area JUST perfect for me to get his truest colors...for about 15 seconds :( Wish I couldve got a decent full length shot in this light, the indirect sun really made him glow...

This guy isnt even a year old yet! I cant wait for him to REALLY start to pop! :)
Thanks for looking at my crappy pics of one of my favorite snakes :)

Pretty! Who produced that fine DJJ?

Re: Starscream...
So beautiful!
What does DJJ stand for?

Re: Starscream...
diamond jungle jaguar.
the jag trait originated in coastals (or at least that is the working assumption as there is some debate on the founder jag's purity), so it takes quite a few generations of breeding to work in the beautiful yellows and blacks that are found in diamond and jungle carpet pythons.

Wow after all that work I bet they fetch a pretty penny.
Worth it for such a beauty.

Jeff Favelle... Thanks for explaining the DJJ genetics, saved me some time :P
This particular guy is 22% Diamond, 72% Jungle, 6% Coastal... Things are gonna get pretty crazy when I add 50% Spider BP to the mix ;) LOL
Thanks for the comments everyone :)

Re: Starscream...
I saw someone recently did that (spider carpall), it would be interesting to see what a spider jag looks like.. and if it has double the neuro problems. It might prove to be an unfortunatly fruitless project, but here's to reduced pattern morphs *raises glass*
I've got a carpet mutt project in the works, I've got 1.1 I'm buying that are due to hatch in about two weeks I think.

Re: Starscream...
In the fourth pic it looks like he's smiling :) I love pics like that. Though I love these snakes I decided not to get any since I already have enough other kinds lol. Beautiful!

Re: Starscream...
I am glad I popped in on this thread - what a lovely snake! And your picture-taking skills are a far cry better than mine, lol! I also love love love that 4th picture! Monica is right - looks like he's smiling! Very nice snake! Thanks for sharing...
