    Day 30 Question
Hi guys, a couple of my eggs have started to dimple a lil bit on day thirty just curious if i should be worried or not. The Humidity is 90+ cause thats all my digital gauge will read lol anyways just let me know if they look fine or if something needs to be done, do i need to add press and seal? i didn't think i needed it as im using the substratless method. also all of them still show great looking veins and i have seen a lil baby snake move around in them.

I usually put the probe in the middle of the eggs at there level the humidity will be higher on the side of the box because it will hold condensation.

Thanks tim, il try that, see if i get a differnt reading, never even crossed my mind that the side of the egg box might hold condensation, ive only seen a lil bit on the lid. But should they be dimpling this early if the humidity is right?

I havent noticed any dimpling in the first month but with you using the grates I would add more water just to be safe

I candled them just before i took to above picture, and was able to see some movement in them, which i have to say was pretty cool, The pairing was normal x pinstripe nothing to extravagant for my first year.

    Re: Day 30 Question
I have no experience yet, but what i have setup for when i get eggs is two pieces of grate instead of one so i can add more water, just an idea.

Not knowing your exact setup here is my observation. Eggs on the left are fine but as you move right they dimple. I had this my first year and it was caused by the tubs not being sealed (just a lid) and the fan was at the end the eggs were dimpling. The air from the fan was going around and under the lid causing less humidity the closer you got to that end. Either spin your tub around or seal it if it is not already.

If you think this may be the cause for your eggs I personally would just spin the tub beings you are already at day 30.

Thanks for the info i never even thought of that being the case, i put some press and seal over the top just to be safe, do you think those eggs will plump back up or just stay the same since its day 30?

I would not expect them too but they should stay as they are and hatch with no problem. You may lose the boob egg though, just keep an eye on it and don't panic if you do.
