Has annyone seen or remembers the price of this snake ?
Also what are the options of producing this snake ?

lesser pastel x spider ?
Thanks,

Re: Queen Bee Ballpython
From looking at the gentics on your link there either pairing could produce the queen bee
-
Re: Queen Bee Ballpython
Last I saw they were going for around $3500 or so.

Re: Queen Bee Ballpython
ive seen this snake on fauna classified for 2500-3500 matters who your buying from and its a (lesser or butter x pastel x spider) so any of the mixes together give u a queen bee.....then the killer queen u add in the super pastel or killer bee

Re: Queen Bee Ballpython
Wow i don't understand how you can know all of this ...:bow:
Thanks !
Now if i breed my bumblebee to a lesser i get Queenbee's.
So if i breed it to another morph with Lesser in it it will also give Queenbee's ?
If yes, What morphs carry Lesser gene in them ?
so:
Bumblebee
x
Lesser =queenbee
Lesser Pastel =queenbee
Queenbee =queenbee
( don't know more i'm sorry )

Peter, i think itīs better to learn the Punnet Square for yourself.
The Punnet Square is the way to calculate what percentage of the clutch is which morph.
Just google Punnet Square and give yourself some homework.
Itīs tuff stuff but the more you read about it, the better youīll get to understand it.
Regards,
Bas

Re: Queen Bee Ballpython
Yea if you learn the square you can figure out the percentage for any combination of morphs, recessive or dominate or a combination of everything.
But just remember that these are only the percentage you could get in a perfect world... you could end up with all Queen Bee Deserts or you could end up with all normals... Thats the fun of breeding, you may have a guess at what you will get but its always a surprise :P
-
Re: Queen Bee Ballpython
Oh and here is a website that you can figure out any other morph combinations
http://www.worldofballpythons.com/wizard/
But I still advise you to learn the punnet square...
-
Re: Queen Bee Ballpython
ok i read it, but don't understand :) like u said it's not easy, but i'm trying to learn ! honestly.
The procentages dont realy matter cuz gambling is fun...
But the hymogene co-dom dom recessive .... thats just imposible
( thnx cstruthers but there is no bumblebee :p )
so if i breed Bumblebee x Lesser Pastel i get:
Normal
Lesser platinum
pastel
Lesser pastel
spider
Lesser spider
Bumblebee
Lesser bumblebee
Queenbee
Superpastel
Superpastel Lesser
Is this correct ? i think i got it right ...

Re: Queen Bee Ballpython
Killerbee & Lesser killerbee

A bumblebee is a spider x pastel so on the wizard i gave you, you just have to click on both spider and pastel, and thats a bumblebee. There just isnt a specific button for it...

Yeah i understand it now, EXTREMLY helfpfull !!!!
Thank you so much mate !!
One down side tho ( for me )
when it gives the possible morphs it doesn't give the name of the morph,
just the morphs in the morph ( if u know what i mean )
but again THANKS it helps me allot !

Yea I understand... But hey that just gives you a little more incentive to dig a little deeper and learn some more ;) Thats how everybody here knows what they know, research first and then personal experiances...
But hey think of the accomplishment you will feel when you can look at something like spider x black pastel x pastel and instantly know its a black widow :) and i think names are overrated anyway, i just like knowing what combos make snakes look the way they do, IMO who needs a crafty name anyway... Just makes thing more confusing.
But anyway I guess your addiction to ball python morphs and genetics is just now starting, before long you will be building your first rack and then an incubator... aint that the way it always is haha :P
