    Deformed eggs question
    Hi all,
can anyone tell me what can affect on these eggs shape and look? They are not perfect, I think with lack of calcium(?)

Can it be the diet of the feed rats?

I have two clutches this year. One looks like yours and one looks "normal". They both eat from the same freezer. :D

I agree, I think it's just something that happens. I'm sure there is an explanation but they seem to do fine. My snakes all eat the same rodents and I occasionally get clutches like that. They wrinkle up a bit but I've never had an issue. Good luck!

I actually have a pastel that laid 3 slugs and 2 eggs that look worse than that and both seem to be doing ok. Only at day 20 but so far so good. I have read that these "boob eggs" should be ok. Hatchlings may be a bit smaller but catch up. Fingers are crossed as these are my first eggs of the season.

    good luck and congrats!

i had one clutch that were even worse then these this year and all are doing fine 27 days left in the incubator and no problems, most of them plumped back up after a week or so but there is still 2 that are weird looking but i can see great vains and now a little snake inside them

These were laid 43 days ago and are sired by a pastel male. I was asking becasue this my third clutch this year and all eggs look like that, I thought that maybe my rodents diet could affect this.

i wonder what does cause this to happen, is it a trait? like when you breed this female again i wonder if the eggs would look the same....oh wait maybe its the male? i dunno? anyone know?
