how many snakes do you own?

just wondering how many snakes most of the people here have. count the total number but then in a post split it up by say, what species or something

for example i have:
3 emerald tree boas
2 borneo short tails
1 prairie king
1 black rat
21 ball pythons

so 28 total for me

with 12 more eggs in the incubator, but those dont count ........yet lol

A healthy collection thats for sure!

Only two so far. I plan on getting another BP and RTB in the future. Repticon comes back in July, I'll be ready for them by then. I think I'll only get one or the other though. I may pick up another leopard gecko too.

3 Ball pythons ( 6 on hold or being delivered soon )
2 corn snakes.
Mangrove ( delivered next month)

4 ball pythons, and I plan on getting one more in the next few months. After that I'm done until I get more space.

There's no option for 0. I don't own a single snake, and I never have. After an amazing experience with a BP a couple of months ago, I started looking into them, thinking I might get one. I'm still in the process of learning what I need to know, but I already know that any plans for my getting a BP soon have just been pushed back, because we just had a miniature dachshund puppy dropped into our lap.

Species breakdown for my family
1.1 mini dachshund (Rocky and Lady)
0.1 housecat (Precious)
1.0 betta (Finge) (Don't blame me for the name, he's my son's fish)

Mostly colubrids, only 26 are BP's.

between 70 and 80. I used to be amazed when I would ask people how many snakes they have and they could not give me an exact number, then I hit 40 snakes and have not had a consistent count since.

Mostly balls, but have one thayeri king, 4 corns, 1 JCP and 1 common of the most common BCIs. :)

Looking to add Bloods and hondos at some point.

I don't understand how someone can own more than 200 snakes unless they are a breeder or work for/at a zoo or something. That seems pretty extreme.

haha im gunna go out on a limb and say if anyone has >200 they do breed them

I just did a nice count...48 Boas! I coulda swore I had more. I reduced my collection down quite a bit.

..but once the 7 or 8 litters drop...that number might multiple a few times over.

I have 3 male ball pythons at the moment.

1 mojave (picking him up Sunday :D)

I will be buying plenty of females in the near future.

55 balls at the moment, but that's just the initial breeding stock. We may get up to 100-150 after a few years I guess? We'll just have to wait and see how many we can comfortably take care of because it's pretty easy so far.
