    new burmese python morph?!
hi guys. i just have found some photos of a burmese python which looks pretty odd to me.

    hes green.

not the green in green patternless, but a normal patterned burmese in green.

he was sold in 2004 to god knows who. it was in a petshop in bremen germany and was sold for a usual prices for normal burms.

ive tried to find out who has bought him, but no chance. the petshop is gone. the owners from the shop has changed in that time every few month...

i would really like to buy him, but as i said no chance to get infos.

the owners of the website have send me pics from it, but dont want me to post them here, so u can only watch him on their site...

    heres the link:

You mean the picture where it says it's a Molurus bivittatus hybrid? Interesting looking animal, I wonder what it's a hybrid with?

Aside from the color. The pattern and light centers of the blotches kind of remind me of a caramel Burm.

I got curious and started looking around on the net a bit, I found somewhere that said that the Caramels do range from a Caramel to a Greenish color. Maybe that's what it is? Here is the link that I found with some nice pictures.

the owner of the website told me that the python was selled as a python molurus/ bivitattus hybrid.

    but i dont think so.

i know many molurus/bivitattus hybrids and no one looks like this

Oh, I gotcha. It's a P. molurus molurus X P. molurus bivittatus. If that's the case, then yeah I agree with you. There's more going on with that snake then just being a hybrid.

    yes i think so too.

but ive seen caramels babies and adults and they look not like this green snake.

the snake in the picture is a 4year old male.

it was sold 2004 and ive never ever heard of it. so i think that he has ether never breed or hes dead, or the owner doesnt know what he has and keep him just as a pet.

the owner of the page told me its a real photo. there is no photoshop and the snake wasnt colored with paint or something.

anyway. i had a bit of a hope that u guys in amerika had heard of it, or even got snakes like this one.

that would incraese the chances of being a morph...

Interesting snake. There's a lot of variation in normals, especially in burms when you get into hets, hybrids etc.

it died a few months ago I believe. Its pattern was a bit more faded then the one in the piicture. I believe there are pics of it on monster snakes
