Movies dont do reasearch
If anybody has seen the Lightning Thief lately you might not have noticed that Medusa (hot hot:D), Also know as the wacky lady who has a head full of snakes and her eyes turn you to stone if you look at them, has a ball Python in her head of snakes! The nerve! I should probably add that they put inch long fangs on the ball python too!!
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Yeah....gotta really work on that realism when shooting a movie with a woman who has snakes for hair and can turn you to stone with a look....what were they thinking??? :P

Re: Movies dont do reasearch
saw that movie.. didn't notice the type of snake actually, so i'm gonna go check out that scene again.

Re: Movies dont do reasearch
Well.. Africa isn't too far from Greece... and seeing as the story involves gods and stuff, I'm certain they could make some of the snakes in her hair pythons with inch long fangs. I've never had to opportunity to examine the rare subspecies of medusa ball python.
Yeah.. I recently was harping about the robots in Transformers 'crying', and the realized I was saying that the crying was not very realistic in a movie filled with giant transforming robots from another planet involved in a war with evil giant transforming robots, all of which decided on Earth as the mudball to land on.
Suddenly it didn't seem so wacky. Now, when they make GI JOe/Transformers, it'll be giant transforming robots with NINJA!!!!! They'll advertise it as "Now try our New Improved movie with added Ninja for coolness!"

Re: Movies dont do reasearch
:rofl::rofl: I saw that movie in theaters a few months ago and I said the EXACT same thing when I first saw Medusa. I actually whispered very excitedly to the person next to me that those were ball pythons!! By far the highlight of the movie! (I really disliked it; but then again, that's not saying much, as I am a big fan of The Odessey, and all in all a major movie critic.)

Thats why the books are better. I always read the book before I see a movie based on a book so I can imagine what the true story is like. There have only been a couple movies like Narnia that were close to the book and more realistic.

:gj: Same. Imo, Harry Potter, To Kill a Mockingbird, Narnia, and some of Stephen King's stuff are the only movies out there that do just a little bit of justice to the books. I honestly have no real interest in things like the Lighting Thief simply because the original Odessey was so good. Originals can rarely be beat. :)
