FINALLY EGGS!!!!! It's only day 53

I can't believe it took this long!!! So far there are 4 eggs, she's still working on it, but I'll get some more pictures up when she's done! They look really nice so far!!! Since she was 20 days late that means the eggs will pip 20 days early right :rofl: :tears:

I was going ABSOLUTELY bonkers!!! John (jpman78) from jdconstriction was trying his darnedest to keep my nerves under wraps. I was so worried she was egg bound or something. He kept telling me to be patient :rolleyes: 20 extra days of patience wasn't exactly a walk in the park for me! :rofl:

I just had one lay on day 54. I couldn't believe it!

I had 6 eggs and 5 were yellow bellies in my first clutch last year, one never knows :)

Congrats... Hope you get all female patels and just because I hope that they are actually het pied and all the babies are actually pastel pieds.... Ok that is pushing it a bit but you can always hope right.

This is the exact reason I no longer keep track of dates... If I do I go insane so I keep a mental record but nothing else.

Oh my gosh I screamed and ran upstairs to get my camera, the card was still in my computer, so I ran back upstairs then down again, and took pictures :D

i by far no expert on eggs since i just had my first clutch laid 15 days ago, but those eggs look differnt, it will be intersting to see if they hatch earlier

They sure do! I just wish I could find pictures of eggs that are farther along. I saw one move it's head, and I could see the tip of the tail in a couple of the eggs. :confused: I just hope they are ok! :please:

Its very possible you might get all pastels. I had a normal x pastel pairing give me all pastels once. Just keep praying to the ball gods! :D

I agree that those eggs look very full of baby. I have a clutch getting ready to pip and those eggs didnt look that full for a couple weeks.

Congrats on your first clutch:gj: I will say they should pip on day 54. Depending on your temps of course. Day 54 at 89 to 90 F.

I thought they looked pretty crazy for fresh laid eggs. I couldn't find any pictures that looked like mine so I was a bit worried. Brock made me feel better and told me they looked really good, and definitely farther along than normal.

I'm reading this thread and i'm picturing you jumping, running and super excited...LOL. Congrats and good luck. let's hope they don't make you wait to pip in about 84 days...LOL

talk about being late...both my kids were a week late & that week was the hardest out of the whole pregnancy...both times! but the relief & happiness is so much more worth it in the end.
talk about patience lol. my fiance was my patience coach with our son, my 2nd child. i dont know how he does it lol.

Thank you!!! Oh I was jumping around and screaming :rofl: My fiance was still in bed and I had just got home from my night shift. He said I was so loud he couldn't get back to sleep :rofl: If they make me wait that long I'll DIE, but they probably will take their sweet time :rolleyes:

Awesome Steph! Big congrats!! Just imagine when you're on your "second day 53"....You're going to be gnawing your fingers to the bone, obsessing over the hatchlings-to-be!!! When my first clutch ever was pipping, I moved the egg box to my bed stand lol! And I set my alarm to go off every two hours at night!
