Hard to say for certain based on the pictures, but to me, it looks like there may be issues with all but the top left and bottom left egg (bottom right could be okay too, seems like the lighting is a bit funky).

    I hope I'm wrong. :(

Are these eggs too moist? Mine are dryer somewhat yet full with one wrinkle. They to are around 45 day mark. I put plastic wrap then the top on mine but I also used distilled water when moistening the vermiculite. Good luck to all!

Top left is OK and bottom left is OK. Unfortunately the reimainder are going bad. Your vermiculite looks is extremely wet, is it?

I did the 1/1 by weight...and the condensation is hard to control in my tubs...i just installed a fan in the incubator to try to fix that for the other clutch i have in there currently....should i just cut these eggs now?? or??

After checking my vermiculite once again it feels fine and it not very wet...but when i open the egg tub it always has excessive condensation built up on the top of it...how can i correct that??

I would leave them, I have had eggs with mold before and still go full term. IMO there is only one egg that looks iffy.

If you can separate the one moldy egg from them rest without damaging the eggs you may be okay. Then again like I said they may all go full term with no problems.

You can use a soft cloth and try to wipe the surface mold off and see if that helps.
You only have a week left and then you can cut them to see how they are. Just remember to keep them moist with water until they come out of the egg.

Well considering its Day 45, Cut the eggs and you will know.

I cut all mine around day 45-50 no ill effects.

You will know first hand if its bad or not.

I was going to say the same thing. I cut on day 52 but cutting them a little earlier will not hurt. Maybe just cut the ones changing colors. It looks like your vermiculite was way to wet. The last couple of weeks the eggs start sweating alot and this is probably where most of your moisture came from. The color change could just be from condensation dripping of the lid of the egg box onto the eggs. Cut them open, I hope they are ok.

I would cut them. The one in the middle looks the worst, to me. 3 others look questionable, and 2 look ok.

I dont have much to offer but from what i've read it looks like cutting them might be your best bet, they would possibly just end up being sort of like preborns but hopefully they all turn out ok

I know of a guy that cuts all his eggs day 30 and not one has ever left the egg early. They know when its time to come out. So being its day 45 you still got a week at least till they pip

    Hi,

Actually it's not a bad idea to give them a little spritz every day to keep them clean and to wash out any film you see forming on the surface of the egg white.

Did you just cut a little flap or did you remove a big piece? Any pics? Make sure you have the tub well sealed or you can get little fruit flies in the box and maggots in the eggs.

Re: Do these still look ok??
If you cut early the only concern is mold growing in the egg. With the high humidity and an open egg it starts growing mold fast. Usually the mold doesnt cause much problem. You may see that the are slower starting to to feed. When you do cut early it is best to cut as small as opening as possible so that the egg is not just sitting there open to contamination. I have seen eggs cut 10 days early and within two days the fluid in the egg turned black. Although the snake is absorbing the yoke, the fluid molding does not cause any problem. The snake will still stay in the egg till most of the yoke is absorbed.

They will pop their heads out before totally coming out. don't mess with them too much or you might be why they come out. and with the cord still attached it can cause problems. if the egg was dead you would of known from the smell. you should try the light grating and press n' seal it works great, and the eggs are not touching the wet substrate.

Condensation is not cause by using too much water. it's where there is a difference in temp, the water will condensate.

Maybe next time using a grate will help the eggs from being too wet??

Please keep us updated on the lil bee! I hope he/she pulls through!!!!

The bumblebee came out today...here is a pic...

And i think i have control of the condensation problem in the egg tubs...i think the fan has helped that out. So hopefully this doesnt happen again..

    Congrats on the beauty.

Really sorry about the other babies. I plan to breed in a few seasons so threads like this, although horribly sad can really help first time breeders like myself.

    Good luck next time.
