Nothing wrong with opening a pipped egg to peek, IMO. Just make sure you put some water in there so he can finish absorbing his yolk sack without drying out.

I love seeing them in the eggs. What did you breed?

Thanks a lot. I used a vpi female. I like tsk though, my tsk male hasn't browned out as much as my vpi female...
