paradox lesser or not???

hatched out 1.4 lessers and 4.1 normals from a lesser to a 4400g huge girl recently and found one has this neat little patch of normal pattern... would u call this a paradox??

I wouldn't say full paradox, but maybe a little. It's cool though!

Some would and some wouldn't. I've heard both opinions on such snakes. Some folks say paradox should strickly be used for snakes that normaly don't produce melanin. And I've heard others say that paradox can be used when "normal" coloring leaks through regardless of the morph. I don't care about the definition your snake is still neat.

I have a lesser male which has some normal coloration but not as much as yours. I'd almost have to point it out. The interesting thing is that he produces some hatchlings with the same marks. I would hold yours back for breeding just fior fun.

Paradox?? Weeeelll wait till it sheds. I've seen some funny looking color patches on hatchlings that after they shed acouple of time go away for whatever reason. If it gets darker and darker then yea I'd call it a Paradox. Seems to be more and more of them popping up in the Lesser gene pool of the last few years..

I would say maybe. John from JDconstriction had a lemon pastel axanthic hatch out that looked pretty normal. I saw it when it was baby, then again when it was a subadult when it was really starting to look weird, and he just posted a current picture of it and it looks insane!!! The thread is "spring cleaning" or something close to that, it's fairly recent so you should notice it right away.

For now it's wait and see :)

How do you get a "little" paradox.....LOL. A paradox already has a little normal pattern. So this snake has a little little normal pattern......LOL......its a paradox, a nice looking one at that.......

Thanks for every ones input, she did shed and i took that pic after the shed. David its wierd too but there was actually 2 like that in the clutch that one just had more than the other. The male breeder lesser i have is also breeding a large mojo girl so i hope she goes, it would be interesting if i got a BEL with that pattern as well.

I have no idea but some of those babies look really big!! Congrats by the way!!

If I were selling her, I'd probably say "lesser with a little patch of paradox." But I wouldn't sell her right away; I'd keep her and see if any more patches appear!
