I think mom had something to do with the reduction in pattern, here is a pic of her at the beginning of her ovulation...

Re: First 2010 hatchlings!
Awesome spiders! If I were in the market for one, those two females would be exactly what I would look for!

Yeah it's pretty cool. I'm very pleased with the results.
Re: First 2010 hatchlings!
congrats on the babies, they're all really nice, my favorite is the holdback on the left.
Re: First 2010 hatchlings!
This is the perfect thread showing the results of selective breeding. Wether done on purpose, or because that was the only female you had, very good choice for the female. The male is not a "smoker", but he is not bad lookin'. I personally, prefer a spider with no "spots" in the brown/yellow pattern. Like I said before, dad is nice, but good choice on the female. Can't wait to see those 2 girls at a year old. They will be nice.

Thnaks for the compliments. It was definatley selective breeding. I figured the females pattern would play out nicely with the Spiders pattern. I have another girl that that was bred to the same sire which I also think will throw some nice offspring. I'm hoping this girls circles show up some where in the pattern. It's a long shot hoping for the circles to carry through, but, the light color wouldn't look bad either. Here is a pic of her Ovulating...
