I hate the wait after food
Anyone with me and hate the waiting period after you feed your snakes. I mean not being able to handle them for 24 hours (some of you longer).

But I know there is also some of you who toss the food item in the tank / enclosure and do not really bother with the snake again until the next feeding. But I know there are people out there that handle every day like me. Oh and i am not trying to sound mean to the people that don't handle their snakes that often.

I hate it only when I want to take one of them out and then I realize they just ate. XD

It seems I always have time to handle them after I feed them because I feed on the weekends when I have time in the first place!

Same here. I look at Charlie, who is exclusively mine, and just want to take him out! I peek through the glass into his hut and try to will him to digest faster. Doesn't seem to be working, though! :P

I hate it more when one doesn't eat and I have to clean there cage that week. So I have to take a hungry snake out of the cage.

Even worse then the 48hrs after a feeding is the 2 week wait when you bring home your new snake!

I always feed on wednesdays so 48 hours later, it's the weekend and I can handle them all I want!

Hahaha! That's happened to me a few times. It astounds me how they always wait to pooh right when it's least convenient for the owner. :D

I feed on the five day sched, so it always varies on what days and how busy I am for the day or two after. I try to stay out of the room the snakes are in if feeding day falls on the weekends, but it's always in vain. I end up sitting there watching them sitting there watching me sitting there, and so the cycle continues. It always seems that whenever I can't hold them is when I want to the most. :P

Anytime I feel the need to handle a ball that just ate I remind myself they're not there to amuse me, and it's much better for their health not to be handled.

Makes the wait go by faster, and gets me into the habit of only handling when they're not at risk for regurgitation.

Re: I hate the wait after food
I don't experience the wait. My only BP is very laid back and has never missed a meal for me or been picky. I only hold her despite that rule because I took a long time to gauge her comfort level. I would never hold a BP right after feeding if I knew there was even the slightest chance they might become uncomfortable/insecure and cause a regurgitation. This is the rule if and WHEN I get more BPs in the future. :gj:

I should probably add that despite what I just said, she still gets the courtesy of sitting undisturbed for at least one full day. All I meant was, if for any reason she does need to be handled or moved, I'm not afraid to do so.
