Orange ghost for het Lavender albino/pied good deal?

I have a orange ghost. Some one offered me a DH Lavender Albino/Pied. Both are males. Mine is around 220 grams his is around 300 grams. Should I go with it?

Wow Im thinking scam. Only because het lavs are quite a few hundred dollars still. Are you able to get confirmation that its 100%double het? IMO even being just het its worth alot more than a ghost. So be sure this person isnt trying to scam you.

Unless you know this person very well or they have legit paper work from somewhere I would steer very clear of the deal. Can you provide us with some more details about the trade?

I had put up a post tryn to trade my Ghost on another site. This person messeged me about a pastel he had. Through talkin to him it turned out he had the DH. He said that he could most likely do that but had to double check with his partner. He got a verbal guarantee oh the genetics from the person they got him from. They will guarantee the genetics themselves as well. I have a cell phone number and hes been able to answer when I call and I have the link to there web site.

I personally wouldn't unless the snake comes with signed paperwork...

Name the breeder there aren't many of them out there..and I can tell you anyone with DH LA/Pied isn't going to trade them for a 500.00 male.. sorry..screams scam..

I knew Tom Harbin was selling a dh lav x pied for dream male for around 750.
I bought a pair of double hets for dreamsicles (Lav x pied). If Im not mistaken he wanted like 750 for the lone male.

That's a good point, but you have to keep in mind that signed paperwork is only as good as the person signing it. It's nice to have, but sometimes it's just a signed piece of paper.
I personally would never trade a visual recessive morph for a het of any type, but then again there are a very few breeders I trust enough to do any het deal with.
The other party is offering to take the short end of the stick on this trade, so keep that in mind and ask yourself why.

I agree! I would only trade for a visual morph unless its from a big breeder with a well known rep! I would not trust a guy you don't know! You will not know if the genetics are true until at least next breeding season by then the guy is long gone!

The decision is ultimately yours, but be careful though!!

Seems like a big gamble, If it was me I go with my gut and not look back :D

As others have said, that deal is WAY too good to be true. I still have a male hypo left from last year that I could not even sell for $100. A double het is easily worth 4-5 times what the hypo is.

I have an update on all of this. I got a call from the partner today (I had original talked to one person and the other half of the company called me). I had told him that I would post the details of the call since there was some misunderstanding in the info I originally got. He explained that he was able to give me a guarantee because he has seen the sire and dam as well as the clutch that this snake came out of. He also told me that he saw a pied as well as a LAV in the clutch. He also has sent me pictures of some of his breeding racks as well as of the snake.

That right there screams run..

That means he has a breeder LA or Pied Het for the other trait.. Run..its a lie..Pictures can be stolen,or taken at a friends place, or even just at a breeders place and used later..

this sounds all kinds of wrong...
