    Another: First Clutch Ever!
Just found them this morning...28 days after pre-lay shed. Haven't pulled them from her yet, but there are at least 8 for sure, maybe 9 or 10.

Thanks everyone. I was starting to think they would never come! I hope I'm just as excited after they've been candled.

Official count: 9 eggs. Got them in the bator. I was hoping this big girl would give me a few more than average. Very happy.

    A couple questions:

    1. Is it normal for healthy eggs to be dimpled like this right after they are layed?

    2. How long after laying will veins become visible for candleing? Should they all ready be visible? I haven't candled them yet.

    Thanks in advance.

Dimpling like that is completely normal. I've had some "funky" ones and they've all hatched just fine.

You should also be able to see veins right away. I usually don't really candle if they look healthy and fertile which yours do. Good lcuk and congrats!
