    Albino or butter?
I've been playing eenie meenie miney moe for the past few weeks. I'm looking to get another bp once the eggs start hatching, and I've been looking at either an albino or a butter. I really can't decide. They're relatively the same in price range, give or take a hundred or so, but price really isn't the issue. I'm in love with both morphs, but only have space for one more snake this year.

So bacically I'm down to the majority vote. I would've asked my friends, but most of them are either afraid of snakes or have heard me blather on about them too much to even consider listening to another word I have to say about bp's anymore.

    Let the voting commence?

I agree that recessives are the way to go but Albino's don't do much for me, personally. So if I had to choose, it'd be a Butter.

But if you really can't choose, go for the recessive. :gj:

I'd choose the butter, only because I like them more, though. The points on the albino being used in lots of projects, because of its recessive trait, are good points. But solely on looks, I like the Butters FAR better than albinos.

I'm leaning towards the albino. As much as a love a nice smooth butter, I think I want something striking - like the contrast of an albino.

Thanks for the help with deciding guys! :gj: I think next year will be butter season :)

For a pet, I would go Albino. For breeding , Butter! They are both sweet snakes either way.

You can't go wrong with either. Buy one now and pick up the other in a few months. A high contrast albino is beautiful, but so is a butter.

Maybe if you can find a breeder with both available, you can work out a deal for both and your problem will be solved.

If I had to make a choice, a high contrast albino would be my first choice, then a butter, and lastly would be a low contrast albino.

    Good Luck!

Ha - that kind of happened to me! Bought an albino from Louis Kirkland and somehow ended up with an albino male and a hot lesser female. Next thing I knew there was nothing in my pockets but air - how did that happen exactly, Louis?

BTW, I voted albino first on this one. Even though I got my lesser male first.
