Man I can feel it this year is the year. I know the devils can't beat the flyers. Plus two of my favorite western conferance teams are hot.

So I wanna hear it. Who do you think is gonna move on from round one.

Hey I think them and the yotes will play a tough hard fought series, But the yotes are hot.

Plus I wanna see them have success, they almost lost there team this summer to canada and I don't wanna see that because I think the desert dogs are awful cool.

I know I gonna catch a lot for what I'm about to say but......the Superbowl is only one game and 60% of the people that watch could care less and they only watch for the commercials.....as for March Madness YES college basketball is way better than the NBA BUT IN MY OPINION basketball is a wuss sport there is no contact whatsoever .....Now NOTHING beats the playoff atmosphere of Hockey. The hard checking,, the Want the Desire for Lord Stanleys Cup, the fight to be THAT GUY. Who changes the series. I'm pumped.
Though I would love to see my Flyers make it due to some goalie problems and lack of consistancy they wont . Fllyers will make it past the devils but the caps will put them away.

I say Caps and Chicago .........Caps in 7

Ah Polish I applaud you for your epic truth about Basketball and the super bowl.

Also you speak my deepest fears!! If emery were in this we'd be in the big game I know it. But I hope boucher can keep playing like he did sunday. Atleast long enough for leighton to return.

Honestly I am hoping the pens take down the caps next round so that the flyers and pens will meet in the EC finals.

Anything would be better than seeing my favorite team lose to the team I hate with all my heart the capitals.

Man single elimination would be horrible! I hope they never do that! Series are way way more exciting. The olympics are a snore. I hated having to suffer that instead of watching NHL awesomeness. The olympics all togather is just boring. Honestly the cup is way more important than any medal.

Yes there is some contact but you want to talk to some people go to the Panthers and ask Booth how he feels after a Mike Richards check , or ask Mark Savard how his seasons going after being blindsided by Matt cooke ....better yett ask Matt Cooke how he is feeling after getting punished by Evander Kane.

yep its only one game, you cant make any mistakes cuz there is no tomorrow, you cant sit back and take 2-3 games to figure out your opponent, you have to put everything out there in that game and this is what fans of most sports want to see nba, nhl and mlb fans rarely ever say that want to see a series sweep they want to see a game 7 that one game ends up with more hype than the other 6 games combined almost.

I am glad it's not single elimination. A series really lets you see how these teams are working and sweating and fighting. Learning about there opponents and maybe there's an upset.

It's why I think our playoffs are so fantastic. And why the rivalries get so intense.

All sports are great and I am sorry to jerhart if I caused any offense. But I love hockey. I am a puck head.

Anyway Sharks in 6 over the Caps. And watch out for the Devils Flyer fan it's going to be a good one:gj:

I beg to differ ...reason being I BET most football fans would love to see a best of 3 series at the least to have the chance of your team playing on home turg oppose to a neutral location. The Superbowl is one game and its show up or go home but we have all seen OUR teams not show up for that one game and I KNOW youa have all said "only is we had another chance we could beat them ". That's what Hockey does you bring your A game every game but if you have a Fluke goal that costs u a game you know you have the chance to get them next game .

I gotta say the pens victory last year was pretty epic. Poetic how they came back to win it over the team that beat them the last year. I gotta confess I was pulling for them in the cup series even though they knocked the flyers out and that hurt me.
