Yea i was supprised.. I get hardly ANY tongue shots from the bp.. He does flicker his tongue alot just not when i take the pic. This guy soon as i open the tub he kinda raises his head and starts to flicker. I want to hold him soooooooooooooo bad :please::please::please::please:

Well i got the bp as a baby he moved a bit not much just stayed curled up. I took him out the container and went to put him in the tub.... He thought it would be a good idea to just try to leap out my hands into the tub. Didnt let that happen tho lol he is a fast little guy
And i was told he is a "Pastel Columbian Red Tail Boa"
I mean looks like one to me idk about the pastel part idk anything about boas except temps and caging lol. How much you think i paid for him?
Edit: Evey shot that has his head is a tongue shot. Some the tongue is out a little bit due to distance :P

Re: Our first boa
No problem with buying from the little guy! The most important part is to buy from someone who's honest and knows what their doing so you get a great animal! Congrats on the beautiful little guy!

Re: Our first boa
lol im debating when i should feed him. The breeder fed him on sunday. Said he fed em every 4 days as babies. Tomorrow would make day 4 was wondering if i should feed him or still hold and wait longer.
When boas are stressed do they move around the cage trying to escape or no? Because he just sits on his log all day. Sometimes he sits on top or inside it or around it lol.

Re: Our first boa
Beautiful boa you picked up there! Offer it to him, if he eats, great! I'd feed him every 7 days at this point, since he looks like he's got a nice belly there, but that's me. Just don't let him get fat. :)

Re: Our first boa
lol i will try not to. I hear if their body is bigger then their head it means their over fed?

Re: Our first boa

Mine do the same thing. They spend most of the time laying on top of the hides or on or around the branches...

I don't know about that, but I'm sure there's some good opinions around the web if you do a google search and check what breeders recommend. I only am diverting you to a search because I don't want to give an opinion that could be wrong. :)

well some people posted on rtb forums that if the body is alot bigger then the head it means they was power fed. Not to sure just seen it posted quite a few times :P
