It may not be much, but to me he's something.
My first boa (CO-HE-0904 Male Pastel het Coral Albino), picked him up at the San Mateo reptile expo from Rainbows-R-Us Reptiles. Here's a link to the breeders website along with the sire and dam of my new addition.

thanks a lot! i've researched these guys so much and knew exactly what it is that i wanted especially at a decent price. i don't really care for the morphs and whatnot i mean they do look nice, but i'm content with them in their natural state.

Nice pick up! He's going to be a great pet!
I have boa morphs but do like the normal phase snakes. When he gets bigger you should see some iridescents on him when you take him out in the sun.
Boas make nice show snakes if you set him up in a nice enclosure where he can climb up on some branchs.

by him being "het" for coral, what does that actually mean? i think i have an idea that it means he carries the gene to create corals but im not to sure. and i know the trade name for these animals are "red tailed boas" what would mine be in this case? the label says pastel male het for coral, is he still considered a red tail?

Yes, he is still a red tail.

And im trying to find the reason why the title says " May not be much", Because he is killer!

well i guess for the price i paid some people wouldnt perceive him to be much LOL, and on the other hand when you have individuals who spend thousands of dollars on an animal i guess it can make you feel on the lower end. but i dont care he's what i wanted and couldn't be anymore happier with the purchase. haha i named him juggernaut for his strength. i was so anxious while holding him at the expo my palms actually started sweating, he's my first boa and the first one i've actually held. LOL im 24yrs old and feel like a 9yr old on christmas.

Pshhhh prices, be it a 50k price tag or $50, in the end its still your pet ;) Not to mention in ten years time all the morphs that are expensive right now will be in $100's, or less.

HAHA :D time for an update!!! ok, unbeknownst to me i didnt know that boas had this "thing" called "light phases" and "dark phases" well it seems as though when i posted the original pics that i took leaving the san mateo expo my male was in a dark phase i'm assuming (i think it had to deal with the bay area weather, seemed gloomy), hence he had some oakland raider coloration, now that i've taken him home and let him settle in, i decided to take him out in the sunlight and get a few pics to which i can see his true coloration. heres my '09 1.0.0. Pastel Het Coral Albino.

also a few questions about these little guys...since he has these nice pink, peach and light orange colors now as a yearling. i was told that as boas grow older their color tends to diminish, is this true? i've seen snakes that start off as a silverish gray then end up being tan or beige..:/

Het means he carries the gene to reproduce that trait that he is het for, as a rule most people would call him a red tail "BUT" at the same time a purist would not, a "TRUE" red tail would be a BCC which would be your Surinames, North Brazilians & Guyana's and a couple of other localities, yours is a BCI which though is not a "TRUE" red tail is still generally called one. You will see changes in his coloration from shed to shed and at times day to day, he'll have light & dark phases PLUS hi color & low color phases, his his hi & low color phases you'll see one certain color really "pop" out and show bright which I think is really cool. He's a good looking boa and I look forward to seeing photos of him in the future.
