Pastels and cinnamons are probably the cheapest but spiders are also in that range

Well I'm from Canada and prices are way more here, but I think you could get a nice Pastel, Mojave, Spider, Cinammon, and I'm sure there are some others.

Does he already have the setup? Cage, heating, thermostat, thermometer, hides, substrate, lighting etc..?
He should first purchase that and then see how much money he has left. For that price you could pick up a nice Mojave.
Tell your friend to get the setup and then have a look around. Whether a morph looks good or not is subjective. It also depends on how good of an example the snake is.

    Hope this helped.

I recommend proper caging, and food, to go along with a snake he plans on having for the rest of its very long life.

Havent seen anyone suggest a Pinstripe yet.

Its kinda funny, I HATED the look of the pinstripe when I first heard about it. I was disappointed in how it looked. After awhile though and getting used to its pattern and colors I now LOVE Pin's.

I just bought my first normal BP about a week ago, but already have plans to add a second snake and plan to spend around the same price so this threads helps me out too.

    Thanks for the suggestions guys.

To the OP: It really depends on your friend. Show him a pic of the following and see which he likes best. All of which are in the 200-450 price range.

    Pastel
    Mojave
    Cinny
    Spider
    Pinstrip
G Strip (hard to find at a really low price but they are out there).

Personally I seem to heavily gravitate towards the morphs that are stripped down the middle. Pin's, Clowns, G Stripes, Tri Strip etc.. I just love that thick stripe down the center.
