Guys..cmon, piebalds? really?

I go on all these sites and see so many people that want any morph but a piebald morph, how the hell lol do people find those things nicer looking than...ANYTHING lol any morph IMO is so much nicer and my favorites are sunset and blue eye lucisistic (bad spelling) lol but cmon I cant be the only one that thinks there, i dont wanna be mean but ugly! :O they look like there sick! haha any comments??

If you're going to call someone out for having an opinion different than yours, you might try and make it a little more legible.

I personally love the piebald morph, and I plan on getting one in October.

Well if i get what your saying... I personally dont like Piebalds but i do like luesitics and and the super cinamon and panda piebald witch ill never get but yea i think any ball pythons are amazing personaly the normal ones apeal way more to me and are in my price range XD

Have you actually seen one in person? They're gorgeous.

That's what's so great about ball pythons - there's something to suit everyone's tastes. There are morphs out there that I don't particularly care for that others go ga-ga for too.

I personally love the pieds!

i dont really like piebalds either lol. idk why people like em really.
i do like the pastel piebalds i think there called.

I'm a big pied fan. That's the cool thing about opinions.....everybody has one and they really can't be wrong.

It's not the pied pattern I like, it's what it does to the colored portion of the snake. I think the really low white pieds are awesome! It's not like the snake chose it's pattern. Don't hate the player, hate the game. lol.

if it looks good i like it doesnt matter if its a normal or a banana clown :gj:

I love the pied and the way it can be very diffrent pattern between two snakes. I love the fact you can make it into a albino pied as well.. :D

Pieds are one of my favorite ball pythons. I can only dream of having one some day.

I don't understand the extreme popularity of it. It seems so many people think "hey, I really like morph X, but you know what would be better? A morph X-piebald combo!"

It's like putting ketchup, peanut butter, ice cream, and hot sauce together. They are all great in their own, and some tasty things do mix well together, but when you try to do all of it together it is just too much to be good.

Half and half piebalds and extreme low-white piebalds look great IMO, but I don't like them at all once they're mixed with other morphs.

Piebald? Lets talk about the real issue. CATS! Why in the WORLD does ANYBODY own those things past their first month of life? I just don't get it.

I just looked up piebald morphs in a google image search... and they seem pretty to me! I would take one of those over an albino (or any of the other "plain" morphs) any day. I just think those snakes, expensive as they are, are kind of bland looking with no real pattern to speak of.

I can't say I am a huge piebald fan but I'm not a hater either. Sometimes I think they look really funny because their pattern is broken up with just plain white space, and sometimes I think it looks really cool because they may be a white snake with random patterns on them, idk how to explain it. But I am more of a fan for low white than I am for the high ones.

I LOVE the look of the piebald.

There are WAY too many that I like, though.

I like high white pieds and though I really like Lucy's (both black and blue eyed), I can't get past the white/light head, so a high white pied is perfect for me because their heads remain dark. It's all a matter of opinion, though.....

That is a great point. I have only seen two types of bp's in person -- normals and a spider -- the two that I have! I always thought spiders were kind of ugly, but decided to buy one about a month ago -- picked it up for 100 bucks. I figured for that price I could grow to love them. And do you know what? I think they look way better in person.

I always thought piedbalds were kind of odd, but I think some of them look pretty cool -- I think it all depends on the pattern.

If one was offered to you for free or even at a really affordable price, i doubt you would turn it down. Just saying.

I'm not a huge piebald fan, but that dreamsicle is AMAZING.
The axanthic pied is also a beauty IMO.

Piebalds were one of the first morphs i saw and i immediately wanted one. I still do. Its like a crazy normal was tied in a knot and then dunked in bleach. Kinda like a tye dye method. Haha

i dont like them either as a pet for myself im into the more yellows but just my opinion they do look cool tho :banana::banana:

I've been told that you can't compare seeing a picture of a morph with actually seeing it in person. Is this true with the Pieds???

It was for me. I've always liked them, but after seeing one at a show it was a done deal that I would be getting one asap. They look unreal in person. It's like your brain actually has trouble accepting that it's a real snake.

Yeah, going to an expo and seeing all the herps is amazing. Everything looks a million times better in person.

I don't think I'd own a piebald but they aren't ugly.

I love pieds, I have since I saw the picture of the first ones in the US back in the '90's.

My breeding project revolves around pieds and pied morphs. I agree, some morphs just don't mix well with pied. {spider for example} But to each their own.

There are several morphs of BP that people drool over that I wouldn't own if you gave it to me because I think they are so ugly, but I have seen some of those ugly morphs in person and decided they aren't as bad as the pictures.

Still, not every color is for every person, or we'd all own black dogs.

Im simply making a opinion, im judging off pics i see on the internet, I love the sunset morph and think all Pieds are just ugly lol to be blunt, if one was offered to me i would take it defiently and sell is asap to but a blue eye :rolleyes: hahaha jsut saying ALL BALL PYTHONS ARE BEAUTIFUL, there are jsut some less beautiful than others hahah :rolleye2:

But Ivory's I adore. There Ice blue eyes and the brilliant white scales. Well worth the high price for a brilliant white specimen.


Bumblebees, Fires, and Spiders as well I adore. Though I think I'll max out someday at 3 BP's. To many other species I want to keep. Boas haunt my dreams. I am sure I'll have one or two before 2012.

I used to say that too - until I saw some spectacular examples of them, and just got my first this weekend.

I didn't used to like spider patterns either - now I have four of them, and they're one of my favorite morphs!

I love pieds, and hope to produce my own in the future.

Piebalds are amazing. If I could own only piebalds or the rest of forever I would, but unfortunately they tend to get a bit pricey when they're high white. :P

Their patterning is like a morph in itself -- part of the reasn why I like low pieds a bit more than high -- and their white patches put even leucistics to shame with how glossy, bright, and clean they are -- part of the reason why SO MANY people like high whites.

If you cannot appreciate the beauty that is the pied, I feel bad for you because they are absolutely stunning and offer so many possibilities with genetic combinations that you're missing out on. Imagine being able to weedle out the white completely, and creating a whole new morph with just that patchy banded gold and brown, and then breeding that into spiders, mojaves, pastels and creating CRAZY looking snakes. Or the combination pieds that are already out there, like the spider pied morphs, enchi pieds, pastel pieds, etc.?

Pieds are amazing. End of story. :D

Yeah, buddy. We get it. You're here to stir up drama. Go ahead and drop it. Everyone likes different things, but I don't see anyone else starting threads to state what they don't like. Makes me wonder if it's a little bit of the Sour Grapes syndrome.

Personally, the morph I like the least is the one that can't spell or use proper grammar and punctuation.

I don't like Pieds more than Spiders, but I would love me a nice low white Pied.

Pieds are awesome in person. I've handled a few and just being able to hold something that looks so odd is definitely wicked. It just looks like someone painted on them. The jacked up patterns are also a big one for me. That's why I love low whites!
