She's growing like a weed now!
I posted a while back about Isis, my little boa girl. She had feeding issues for the longest time and didn't grow very much. She is about 2 years old now (little less) and very small for her age, but I took her out today to weigh her and her steady diet of rat weans and small rats is putting some size on her! The last time I weighed her she was about 350g. She has been pooping normally so I know it is not poop that I'm weighing and she looks even bigger! She is now well over 500g! She is starting to get that thickness I see boa's her age having. And on top of that, she just shed, so now I have some really clear pictures of her. Here she is! I think I'm going to move her on up from rat weans to small rats (since the small rats at the store run a little small anyway)

Great looking boa. I love her colors, and her pattern is nice and clean.

I'm in love with her! When I first brought her home, she was so tiny and gray. Now her colors have developed and that picture is as true to her colors as I've ever been able to come and I love it! I'm so happy she is gaining weight now and putting on some size. I'll have to get her length tomorrow when I get the chance. I might take a few more pictures.

So what kind of boyfriend should I get her for the future?

She is beautiful! Is she a normal? I also love her tail pattern, just amazing!

Here's my Pastel 50% PH Albino boy, I'm thinking of selling him sometime though. Maybe a trade for a BP morph of some kind.

Oh, I love his cute little face!

Thanks! She was sold to me as a normal, so I'm going to assume she is a normal. :P

She sure is beautiful! And it's great to hear that she's packing on the weight now :gj: she seems to be going at her own pace :)

She definitely does things her own way. But I love her. I can't wait to be able to get more into boas. As soon as my husband and I move into a house, and I have more room, I'm going to get more boas and begin breeding them.

I would personally go with either a motley or salmon.

I was thinking a motley. I saw a few at the show I just went to and they look awesome! I was told it was a co-dom morph. Is this true?

Yes it is. Here is a pic of my Columbian motley that I bought from Kraig at Living Canvas Exotics:

Thanks, I bought her for $800. She is a motley 100% het albino. I am hoping to breed her to a sunglow to produce sunglow motleys.

Columbian and Nicaraguan motleys do look quite a bit different. Even their super forms look somewhat different. Here is a picture of one of my super motley Nics:

Although I do not own a Columbian super motley, from pictures I have seen they are much darker, almost black. Another interesting thing about super motleys is that, from what I have been told, all Columbian super motleys die at approximately two years old, while there are still some super motley Nics born in 2006 still alive and doing well. Mine were born in 2007, and seem to be doing fine. However, to the best of my knowledge, no super motley has ever bred. That is not to say that it isn’t possible, but if they do they will definitely take longer than non-super motleys.
