I'm no expert but that doesn't look like a ball at all - I think it's a red tail boa

That isn't any morph of ball python.

    It's not even a python.

That is a Red Tail Boa.

Either that guy is trying to pull a fast one on you, or is a total moron who bought a snake from even bigger morons, and now that he knows what it is, he wants rid of it.

The ironic thing is that a red tail is worth quite a lot more than a normal ball, at least on this side of the Atlantic.

how can you be so sure? the pattern of it im guessing, because i have never seen a python with a pattern like that thats why i wanted to ask...I also just realized/notice the shape of its head is what a boa's head looks like, lol sorry for asking a stupid question

kinda looks like a Hogg Island to me, or at least has some HI in her. If so than it should stay on the smaller side for boas, even still my girl is just over 6 feet, and my adult ball is around the 4.5'-5' mark.

    Re: Buying a ball python
I don't think it's a Hogg Island, there's no speckling on the body. I'm thinking it's a sunglow boa. Hard to tell. Lighting can make a sunglow look entirely diiferent, but I'd put my money on a sunglow boa.

How much is the seller wanting for this "Ball Python"? Could be worth buying it to resell.

Yea def. not a ball.....its a boa...but I don't think it is a red tail....not grey enough. But then again I do not know the different kinds of boa's but you can tell my the shape of the head and the type of pattern on him.

Well first of all, it looks nothing like a ball python.

Just google "red tail boa" and it will pop up with something that look just like what you have pictured.

buy it, and take good care of it, and sell it for more than you paid lol.

if it is a red tail boa, it is worth over $100 alone without the enclosure.

    Re: Buying a ball python
I'd buy it. It is definitely a boa and while I'm no expert on boa morphs, that one looks to be a morph, not a normal. As one mentioned, it might be a sunglow boa or I would also throw out a salmon.

Yeah i'd say a red tail or columbian boa. Hard to tell if its a true red tail from those pics.

Not a stupid question at all. It's better to ask and know than to get it home and go "whoa, this isn't what I thought I was buying!". I'd buy it, too.

Sorry this is a late post just looking through the endless BP information. Yeah that is so a red tailed boa, and by the way I would see if you can sucker someone of your own because that things going to get 8/9 feet, if your lucky it may only get to about 7 feet that is my best guess from what I know about them. Sorry but someone had to give you the bad news:( If you ever read this try not to cry, your now the proud owner of a big snake. Sorry.

Ps Cool snake through, worth a couple hundred. Best luck.
