    My first python
I just got him at the reptile expo in Long Island yesterday. He is my first snake and i tried to get a morph. Just to make sure, can anyone tell if this is a real yellowbelly or just a fancy normal? Either way, I think he is awesome. :)

I can't tell you if it's a yellow belly or not, because i stink at identifying morphs that aren't obvious, but he is really pretty :)

does the description of the snake help at all? At the expo there was one for $60 but i didn't buy it because it seems aggressive, probably because the breeder was handling it pretty rough. But this one was selling for $100 and i was able to talk the man down to $80.

I'd bet a good amount that that is a Yellowbelly. The belly shots aren't great, but I'm nearly positive that's a Yellowbelly.

How can the new belly pictures turn people against it being a Yellowbelly? It's clearly a Yellowbelly with a subtly speckled belly, no?

If you bought it as a yb from an expo it's probably a yb. Some ybs don't have great yb bellies. I'd also say he's a yb because of the flames and belly, and the fact that you bought it at an expo as a yb. If you bought it off craigslist or a pet store I would be less inclined to believe that it was a yb with a less than perfect yb belly.

I agree, it's hard to pass off fakes at shows with any number of experts walking around. All it takes is one person with the knowledge to spot the fakes and the seller is done selling.
Not worth the risk IMO to sell fakes at shows.

Morphs are overrated. I'll take a gorgeous normal over a morph any day!

I agree with BPelizabeth , and it's really commendable to see the seller take the time to answer and offer contact info. I have found in this area that almost everyone is willing to help!

honestly i absolutly love the snake, he is awesome. This was a purchase a little on a whim because I was a little uncomfortable with snakes only because i didn't know much about them. But i did the research and wanted to try something new and now its been like 4 days since i got him and im already looking on the market for another. lol

Ya its a YB :] Pretty one!

And hey normals arent bad at all. I have 4 and love them to peices.

Since you said you are new to snakes. Make sure you read up on stuff. Leave him alone in his enviroment for about a good week or two.
