So beautiful.

I loved it.. Just got done watching it in HD..Loads of info and wonderfuly filmed..

just starting to watch it now, ive looked forward to this series for a long time!

Just finished....not bad

Never was an Oprah fan though

It's coming on in an hour over here. Got the DVR timer on. :D

SHOULD just be starting.

It was 2 hours tonight, with 2 more hours of re-runs.

Not a huge fan of Oprah narrating, but it was wonderful to watch.

Was great to see, it was on 4 different channels( Discovery, Animal Planet, TLC and Science channel) here,lol. It looked like left over parts from the Planet Earth series no complete stories, but plenty of beautiful photography thou.

Oprah can go. WAY TOO MANY commercials. I hate commercials. This is the one reason I don't watch broadcast TV. The commercials were outragously too frequent. At one point I saw 6 minutes of the program then 4 minutes of commercials, another 6 minutes of programmiing, then 5 minutes of commercials. Ruined a great show. I turned it after about 25 minutes and 12 minutes of commericals.

I skipped it personally. Looked like it would be well done but I gotta say I don't watch nature shows unless it's something that really hits on one of my interests.

Plus my two favorite teams were playing each other last night so they pretty much had my full attention.

It was mostly about herps last night, and I loved it. It was beautifully filmed. And I love seeing the shots of snakes....on snow!!!

Oprah is definitely a bland narrator. They should have got Seth MacFarlane to narrate in Stewies voice... :rofl:

Really liked all the great film they got, HD makes it even better but Oprah not so good.

I loved the chameleons and horned lizard footage. The komodo hunt was pretty cool too.

I've been waiting for this series since it first was announced and now im dvring them and i cant wait til they come out on bluray

I posted a thread on this show yesterday, when I was watching it live... I personally thought it was really really cool. :)

Was it specifically about reptiles?


I mean from the name I thought it was gonna have a bunch of other stuff like bugs and birds and zebra and other nature show stuff.


I mean if it was called "reptiles" or "Snakes" Then yeah but life is just vague :P

they have 2 diffrent life series one is based all on amphibians and reptiles and the other one is everything else. the ibix and the red fox chase was awesome though.

How do you know which is which? Cause I will totally check out the reptile one.


If only it was voiced by Spock instead of oprah.

It's an 11 part series, with each being an hour, from what I understand. Two episodes aired the other night, the first a sort of introductory episode I think, and the second reptiles and amphibians.

if you have verizon its channel 620 in HD the life one on reptiles and amphibians comes on at 7 on sunday and the new ones are on after and they show 2 in a row. i cant wait til next week
