Looks like a regular pastel to me.

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
is it possible to take a picture of her next to her sibs?

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
a picture not under the sun would be easier to ID her. looks pastel to me so far

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
The lighting is changing the coloration, cant tell... maybe a better pic with better lighting.

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
From her hatchling ID photo she is significantly lighter. She had a lot of dark orange in her ID, but now there is none. Not sure if it's still to early to tell, or if she needs to get a little older...

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
I'll get one tonight with no sunlight. The house is like the surface of the sun all day, so I'll have to wait. No where good for a pic right now. And I can't get sib. pics, she's the only one I have. But shes from Brookside Reptiles. Sold as a pastel, but she's VERY light. Her hatchling pic is very dark (like a pastel) but I've never seen a pastel lighten up like she is. I've been trying to find a picture that really shows her color the same as in person, but that's not as easy as it sounds...

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
I'd say its a very clean Pastel, Fireflys look almost radioactive.
Good luck whatever you pair her with.

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
try to get pics on a different background too. White or black I'm not sure which is prefered or would show the true color better, but either would be better than the blue I think.

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
bred it to a known fire, BlkEL pops up and your good to go.

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
looks like a pastel to me, but I'd keep it around and watch to see how it changes over time.

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
IMO it look slike a very nice pastel. The color of a firefly is unreal. The yellows seem to glow like a hypo but without being washed out. It may be the sunlight or flash though. Take pictures on a flat (non glossy) white poster board under a daylight bulb with no flash.
Better yet, put her next to her siblings if possible.

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
Looks like a normal pastel to me. But like was already posted the best way to know would be to breed it to a fire. :gj:

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
doesn't look like a fire at all to me.
It also has no head spot...

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
I would say only pastel, but no regular pastel by any means, thats a very nice female pastel you have there. I would love to have an unrelated pastel female like that! :gj:

Re: OK, Pastel or Firefly...???
I thank all of the replies. They are all very welcome. We are very excited to have her no matter what and can't wait to breed her! We are also going to have to set up a light tent so we can take better pics.
