Rate my ghost .....please

This girl is an 07 and I am hoping for some sweet babies from her. Some think she is smokin and others do not. Some have said she isn't even a ghost. So please vote and let me know what you think. If you voted not a ghost please explain why or what you think she is.

Need a better pic. Ghosts show up better in good light. Looking at the top of your girl's head, my first thought was Fire..but the pic is not clear enough..so I could be wrong on all counts.

Well it definitely looks like a ghost, but I'd say a somewhat poor example if it's an orange ghost. She may well be average, but the only examples I have to compare to from my collection are exceptional specimens. I'm going to pass on voting.

whatever morph she is she's beautifull and def looks like a ghost to me!! sadly cant be certain tho.

best way to find out is to breed her and c wot u get!! and have fun doin it!!

I would say take her out of the shadows and take a picture in better light.

With that photo, I'd agree with Deb, it looks like a Fire.

Fires and ghosts need a light tent to catch their true beauty. Either way ball pythons are gorgeous 100% all the way around. If you like/love her thats all that matters

Great lookin animal though.

Top half is blushed out like a ghost, but the bottom half looks plain like a fire. Better pics needed.

Is there somewhat of a wishbone pattern on his head?

Like every one has said. I think better light would help ALOT. BUT if thats how it normally looks then I would say average at best. Especially if its an orange ghost.. But thats just me and I dont have alot of experience so take it as just that.

Looks good for a 3 year old ghost to me. They always look better the younger they are.

Not bad but as everyone else stated, the lighting sucks.

She looks nice enough but the colour is off due to the lighting.

Thank you to all that have responded and now it's time to tell what it is. This is actually a FIRE. :banana: For those that have a hard time picking out a fire from a normal, I probably just really screwed you up. This was a " Let's see what people think post".

Good job Deb and Heather for picking it out:gj:. I thought you killed it before I could even get a couple of votes. This shows if you look at quality rather than price there is no mistaking your fire for a normal. It may be mistaken for a ghost though.

It may not be the best example but a nice snake non the less.

lots of people have poor examples, like people say

" all my snakes are top quality " I say balls to that as alot of people have a crappy pastel in there collection.

looks more like a desert ghost to me. Nice looking snake but not the greatest example of a ghost.

Well if you wouldn't have lied and told us it was a ghost (or shown a hatchling picture at the start) I would have said at first thought I believed the animal to be a fire and not a poor example of a ghost in my original reply. :P

That said, she is an excellent example of a fire.

As far as the head marking though, it sort of irks me that people automatically shout fire when they see them (pun sort-of intended). There are several other mutations (vanilla and YB for example) that often have similar markings. Additionally normal ball pythons can have them. I have two heterozygous hypomelanistic females, a normal female, and a hypomelanistic female in my collection, all with similar markings (none of which are fires). Yes, it is a good indicator, but it is never a surefire way to tell.

Interesting, i am not sure about ghost and would lean especially the back half looking like possible fire, nonetheless a nice looking bp:)

Oh, wait, nevermind. Yeah, she looks like a Het Black Eyed Lucy, and a pretty nice clean one too. Almost has a gravid glow about her...nice snake.

Her color really didn't change too much before ovulating. She is ghostly looking to a degree all the time. That being said she is due to lay 5/23.
