Spring is here!

I am so ready for some nice warm weather, maybe getting a small garden going, spending more time outside, and maybe doing some seriously needed spring cleaning.

Is anyone else excited for spring, or are you more of a cold weather person?

I am definitely glad spring is here after the two big blizzards we had here in PA! I can't wait to plant some flowers and buy some new plants.

I'm ready for spring! I don't want summer to come though, cuz that means 100* for 2 months... Blah! Oh well, at least I can go hiking and burn some major calories!

Well, it WAS spring yesterday.... All last week it was beautiful outside. Temps hitting over 60 degrees.

Now its SNOWING!!!!!!!!!! :mad: :rage:

yes, i am ready for spring as i sit here in oklhoma city and WATCH IT SNOW!

I can't tell you how much I'm wanting Spring to get here. After 58 inches of snow in less than 10 days in December, another foot of snow in January, then snow, sleet, rain until last week, I am REALLY ready for Spring. We've had some great weather the last 3 days. Highs in the 60's and 70's. with sunshine. But guess what's going to happen tonight through Tuesday? Rain, heavy at times with a chance of thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon.

First day of spring: 34 degree weather and snow.

I love the cold, but I'm always happy to have warm again:) I love changing seasons, mostly- just when I've had my fill of hot, it gets cool and lovely. And when I've had enough cold, the spring comes and it warms up.

I planted blueberries last week. Tomorrow I'm going to plant flowers and start tilling to put in a garden! I just bought the house last year so I'm starting from scratch (at least in the vegetable garden aspect).

Cant wait for Spring and Summer....Just dont want Hurricane Season to start...It would have been a beaut of a day today...but so much wind

Spring is definitely one of my favorite times of year, and this is the first time I'm getting to see spring in Virginia. This weekend, the weather was absolutely beautiful, and we spent it hanging out with the in-laws. We had a picnic next to the river on Saturday, then drove out to the coast on Sunday and introduced our new puppy to the beach. I couldn't ask for a better start to Spring! :)

Of course, now it's going to rain for the next two days, but at least I'm not getting all the snow like my family out in Arkansas and Oklahoma. :O

I try not to care about something that will have a natural cycle that I cannot control in any way.

But I did always like spring. :P

Hit 70 this weekend in CT. Was able to take the jeep out and cruise in the sunshine........Love it

I am always of mixed opinion personally. I sort of like cool weather. But I am looking forward to the newness that spring brings, also food in the spring is fresher and livelier. Plus it's Stanley Cup time.

I think If I had to narrow it down the only thing I hate about spring and summer are the bugs. I hate bugs, they scare the crap out of me and they ruin the nice weather because I am always looking over my shoulder for the next dive bombing huge demon bug to try and land on me. Grasshopers, cicadas, beetles, big moths, Spiders, Horse flies. And of course the annoyance of mosquitos, Bees, wasps, and ants. (Bad ants here every year in the summer))


But Despite it all I love to grill out and eat very fresh veggies and berries. Drink some nice summer cocktails and white wine in the sun. And experiment with new ways every year to repel bugs. Oh and get drunk and play with fireworks :salute:


EDIT: But my favorite thing about spring is the excuse to down my favorite cocktail.

Cold gin with a lime wedge and a barspoon of sugar.

Well... The cool thing about winter is the nice, blue and clear skies... I do hate cold though.

In the other hand, as soon as it warms up in Florida, WOOSSSSSSSSSHHH!!! here comes the rain!

Why cant we just have the best of both worlds?! :P

yeah with the coming of spring I can start to get aout and work some lol. (that being cutting about 4 yards of grass every day 4 days a week) but I look at it as exercise which I can really use lol..
