This girl is confusing.....

First she stopped eating and was doing this.

Then she went into shed.

Then she shed.

Then 55 days later, no eggs and she is ovulating for real now.

The weird thing is that she was bowl wrapping in the beginning and I thought I just missed the ovy. Now I guess I will wait and see if she sheds again in the near future and start another count. :rolleye2:

My biggest girl last year layed up like that for months, lol, and never took.
They can be frustrating at times for sure :P

thiswhyi keep pairingmy snakes up. that way I won't miss the chance lol.(prefest example are my het pied they been locking since oct. i still not sure if she did a double shed or i got he breeding stuff worng .. thisis my first year with a plann breeding(s) of snakes. I always end up with unplanned breeding when I do my strip the room down and clean everything in the past or I got them already graivd as a rescue.

She locked up 4 times that I actually saw, and then stopped eating and locking for the last 65 days. She has been laying inverted for a day at a time for like 4 weeks on and off, I would have sore I missed the Ovy. Just thought it would be hard to miss since I check on my snakes 3 times a day.

I've actually seen a number of my snakes inverted basking when they were opaque, at all times of the year.

ALL girls are confusing... ;)

I'm pretty sure if she reabsorbed then she wouldn't be ovulating now. I just thought I missed it, when in fact it never happened. We need to find out how to communicate with these snakes, that would help a lot :D

Yep.. I have 4 females right now that I could have sworn would have already laid their eggs by now. 2 of them shed almost a month ago. They are now very peaked and the one has made a nest out of the newspaper. Im hoping they stop leading me on and just get it over with already :rolleyes:

Yea this is my first go round with Balls. I wasn't really expecting to start breeding until next season. If I can get a sneak peek at what it will be like with a clutch this season I think it will really help for the future.
