Couple pics of my boas.

Thought i'd throw up a couple pictures of my 4 boas.

This is piper, she's an 05 peruvian red tail. She's a lil over 7ft and weighs around 25lbs. Picked her up at the 09 Tinley Park show.

This is Tatum, I rescued him and another ball python from a closet in the apartments behind my work. Apparently his owner went back to prison, and the police were to afriad to touch them. He's over 6 feet, haven't gotten a good measurment of him yet though. He's just a regular colombian boa, very sweet.

Hog island is in shed in that picture, he's normally a lot lighter.

Thanks, and that's to bad! Boa's are definatly my favorites, but I have quite a few ball pythons as well.

Same here, but I'm actually selling my ball pythons. Nice looking boas, BTW.

A question for "ShesCountry89" - are you able to handle your boas all by yourself or do you need help with them. I'm just curious because I just got into Boas - mine are still small but that day will come soon enough.

Yes, I do handle them myself. Either way I don't really have anyone else to help me. My big peruvian girl is pretty heavy, but I can still get her out and handle her pretty well. When she is like 11ft and 40lbs might be another story, I will probably need help or that I need to start working out more! :P

What boas did you get?

That's a beautiful Peruvian you got there. That flash in the mirror is bright, almost needed sunglasses for it... :cool:

Mainly because most of mine eat live, and I have to breed my own rodents, which I don't enjoy. I also just lost interest in them. They look cool, but are pretty boring. They hide all of the time, and are not that fun to handle, IMO. I have decided to stick with animals that are not shy, not picky eaters, eat f/t, and are more fun to handle. My collection now entails boas, carpet pythons, a few ball pythons, and a GTP. I hope to add some black-headed pythons and Angolan pythons in the future.

I have two RTB BCI's one male and one female - was just concerned about their size at full grown but I believe they will both stay around 6 feet long - hopefully.

The female may get a bit larger, depending on how old she is now. The male will likely not get much larger, if at all.

You always take pretty good pics and im lovin that hog islander lol nice.

Yeah I know how that goes, most of mine eat live right now too but will take frozen. I do know where you are coming from though, my ball pythons are actually pretty active sometimes. But boas are definatly not boring at all.

This is true, you will find a lot of the times with boas the females normally get a bit bigger, expecially girth wise.

it was a long time ago maybe 12yrs and my friend wanted to breed them so for a price, i let him. he was successful so i guess for it turned out o.k.
