    Gold Female in Defense Posture
Picked up a trio of eyelash vipers this last weeken. The two females look alot alike but the male is way different. He is a dark green/red/orangish looling thing. I will get some pics of him soon. I got a few pics of one of the females though and she was not happy about the photo shoot, although it made for some awesome photos.

    Justin,
You have some balls that I would love to have. I have a very nice collection of balls but you have some unique ones. I will have a few females breeding this spring. If you are really interested send me a PM and amybe we can work something out. The babies are sometimes difficult to get feeding and most breeder will not sell them till they are eating full pinks and not just pinky parts. This can take 9-12 months.

Thanks for all the good words. This is one of the best looking females I have. My pink eyelash vipers are really starting to color up nice. They may look better then this female, in another couple of years. I will soon get pics of the male. Maybe this weekend. When I got him he had stuck shed on everything but the head. I got all of it off I think, but this is why I havent taken pics yet.

These snakes have hinged fanges vs fixed fanges. They can lay flat against the room of the mouth, until a strike. During a strike they can move the fanges forward for a bite. If you look in the picture you will see the fanges at the roof of the mouth pointing toward the back of the mouth. Find the sheath invading the top of the tooth and look down it.

That's really interesting, I didn't even know about that. I figured they would show their fangs to intimidate or scare off anyone that is percieved as a threat.
